Works as advertised - Batteries not included
Worked to isolate a gear whine in front or rear axle.4 - AAA batteries not included.I took an old USB cable, drilled a 1/8th hole and wired red/black on the USB to red/black positive and negative on the inside of the units battery tray. It’s now USB powered and still will work with batteries too.#LifeHack

It’s pretty good for trying to find a noise while not driving
Wind noise is a killer for these, other than that the cords are plenty long to reach the furthest point on a vehicle from the driver seat, pretty neat a six channel transmitter with six alligator clamp sensors and they do magnify good, its worth the $$ because if you can find the noise your looking for by yourself, they just paid for themselves

Excellent
Ex3lent for its price..seems cheap but it does what it's intended to do..found the noises I was looking for...highly recommended for budget mechanics........edit ..after a few use it's still performs perfectly I just find the wire to be messy tangles easily and it's all over the place if you dont mind it it's still a good product in my opinion

Doesn’t work correctly, picks up engine noise regardless of where the clamp is placed

Pleasantly surprised.
Once I took enough time to figure where I wanted to find the noise in my motorhome. I found that i was honing in or the rattle/scraping noise. After repositioning the sensors, I found that something has come loose above the steering column. Even then, it was barely visible. The only other way to find the problem would have been to remove the dashboard and part of the steering column. It was well worth the money spent, even if I never use it again.
