I don't know when my headband broke, I've had these since 2018 and I love them, but about a year ago, I noticed it. So I just set them aside and got some cheap in-ear ear buds. However, lately, I've been wanting to fix them finally so I bought this.FIRST: When you take off the old headband, the tape that holds the soft silicone cover in place will need replacement tape. I highly suggest getting something like this (bit.ly/3iGLnUK) to put it back on again. remove all the old tape, so it doesn't gum up.SECOND: When you remove the headband on the inside, the plastic piece that holds the cord in place, be careful when you take the cord out, you could damage the insulation. Have electrical tape ready if you do.THIRD: HINGE PINS. These are likely going to come out when you do this replacement. I did not realize one hinge pin was stationary and one was removable. I lost both and had to get replacement parts. Make sure you have small electronics or jewelers tweezers on hand, you'll need the skinny tipped ones, and if they're grooved, they work better because the hinge pins are small and slippery.FOURTH: Plan to spend an hour doing this if you want to do it right and get it done. The hinge pins alone took me quite a bit of time as it's a very small spot and you have to wiggle your tweezers just the right way to get it to slide in there and not come back out. The best way to make this a long lasting fix is to take your time, go slow and follow the instructions. The video is good, but plan to watch a step and pause it. You won't have time to do it alongside the vid. I would also watch it full way through first, then do the repair.

Item was just as described, easy to replace and was shipped promptly so that I could continue to use them. Color matches perfectly. I thought I would have to purchase new headphones but saved money by just fixing it myself. Highly recommend!

It does the job!

If it was easier to replace and worth the time I would buy another but after taking the old one apart putting this one together. Took a good bit of time. If time isn't a concern and you line to tinker; this head a ms is actually more sturdy feeling than the one that came on it.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve had my beats for over 4 years now. Thinking I’d have to throw away my perfectly well working beats away, I came across this item and decided to give it a try & ended up giving my beats a complete make-over. The cushions were destroyed so I went ahead and bought those right here on Amazon (btw very easy to put on). However, the band ending up breaking just a few days ago and well here we are. Although there are tons of videos on YouTube on how to fix the band, I highly recommend watching the channel “Fix it Planet” on YouTube. He went step by step on how to easily assemble the band. In the video, you can see I used scissors & my own screwdriver since the one that comes with the item isn’t really much of help. Mind you, I am a 21 y/o girl who has no knowledge on these handy work things but fixing this was a breeze! I thought I’d have to waste $300 on another pair of beats but believe me when I say this item is so worth it. The pictures speak for itself. I am not much of a person who shares my own personal reviews but if it wasn’t for reviews who’d really trust anything? So with that, I hope this review is able to inspire those reading just how others inspired me.

It's a bit pricey, but worth the value because it comes with additional parts like the screwdriver and 4 t-bolts It looks just like the original headband. Very easy to replace!
