wondering if you should buy this book? the answer is yes!
ann + chris frederick are true innovators of our time and we are so fortunate to have this dynamic pair available to us. their passion, energy and devotion to this work is contagious!in a world where we push, push, push - fascial stretch therapy (fst) brings both client and therapist back to body awareness and to a place where we tune in again - this is where the magic happens, when we listen to our bodies. the words, 'no pain, no gain' DO NOT apply here.in my 10 year career as a massage therapist, i have seen time and time again that once a client is off the table and gravity and old movement patterns take over all that work is quickly gone. personally, i had always hoped for more lasting change for my clients. and this IS possible with fst (not to mention, much easier on you as a therapist).as an acupuncturist, i have found that the combining fst with acupuncture makes INCREDIBLE and lasting changes. treating the fascia is the key to making structural and constitutional changes.if you are currently an fst practitioner, this is an invaluable resource to have in your library. continuous study of this material will enable you to gain a greater understanding of this work, which will translate into much more effective treatments for your client. the book is as well structured as the therapy itself. it contains theory, positioning of client and therapist, movement goals and cue's. it's like having your fst manuals in one beautiful color photo'd package. :)if you are a therapist who has been wondering how you can create a bigger impact on the overall well being of your client, fst is a game changer. BUT, don't just read the book - invest in the training. the return both personally and professionally is life changing. not to mention 100% necessary. the magic is in the details and you have the opportunity to learn from the creators. who, by the way, are ALL about the details. i encourage you to experience this for yourself and most importantly to maintain the integrity of this great work.

Powerful Book for Mobility+ Flexibility
This Stretch to Win book is much more than a book on traditional stretching. Chris and Ann break down the ins and outs of mobility that only could be discovered when a stretch therapist and physical therapist join forces. They take all traditional effect techniques on stretching, joint mobilization, and assessment and put a stretch to win spin to it. These powerful techniques have skyrocketed my success in my clinic in Santa Barbara. Pain issues I used to work so hard to get rid of are going away with ease. There is no Manuel therapy book out there with such power. I suggest getting together with another therapist and learning this material. It sets me apart from all other therapist in my area and has giving me a huge boost financially.Just the other day, a client that had pain when sitting walked out of my office with a deep squat and no pain. I would of previously pressed on the hip flexors to give relief but now that I know hip mobility techniques, I tractioned and cleared the joint and fixed the issue in minutes. Thank you Ann and Chris

Awesome resource for manual and movement professionals. Trained in FT or not.
Such a great resource for Fascial Stretch Therapy practitioners. Even if you're currently using other manual therapy techniques to treat clients and patients, you'll be introduced to a whole new skill set with this book. I've been using Fascial Stretch Therapy for about 4 years now and this book has been useful in helping me master my technique, as well as explain some of the benefits and science behind the system itself. While I strongly recommend anybody interested to attend a workshop to be trained in FST, you can at least get an awesome glimpse into the methods and science of Fascial Stretch Therapy. Just note this book is for professionals with a pretty thorough understanding of human anatomy and movement. Although Chris does a great job of keeping his descriptions and language simple and concise and directions easy to understand.

Great compliment to class
I cannot say enough good things about the authors of this book and this book is a wonderful resource for manual therapists and trainers looking to increase the value of their services and raise the bar in the world of stretching. Ann and Chris Fredrick are true professionals - the best educators I've encountered and dedicated to the evolution of their unique system of therapy that I have personally used in my practice for 2 years helping hundreds of clients get out of chronic systemic pain, improve their athletic performance or regain a level of independence lost from M.S.This book will not take the place of a live class, but does provide invaluable information on technique, the science behind it and tips to help a therapist's success in practice.

I took Level 1 in Toronto and going to Arizona because Level 1 is amazing. My clients are feeling results
After taking Darby Training Systems Level 1 and 2. It all tied in. I took Level 1 in Toronto and going to Arizona because Level 1 is amazing. My clients are feeling results, less pain. the book is great as if you know how to read the connective tissue R2 - a great book. Highly recommended. this books ties it all in. Very descriptive. A good reading tool to have. I highly recommend it. For those that have taken Stretch to Win. You need to take the course from Stretch to Win to use it. I love Fascia Stretch Therapy - the winners are those that take the courses through Stretch to Win... logical order.. and you must learn from the best in the world... their philosophy speaks for itself. Proven principles. Love... gain without pain,,, follow a logical order.. Ann and Chris have fallen their step process for 20 years.. you cannot beat that.. I had a client say... I have not had sciatic nerve since I had you.. and she had physio and chiropractic for years with her yoga.. the yoga and my little knowledge at Level 1 did it.. wow... I breath, I practice, I dance.. I cannot cure all but this book saved me. thank you Chris and Ann
