Perfect tin for cakes
This cake tin is great for cakes, I like to make no bake cheesecakes and they set really well in this tin and is easy to get it out after it has set.Pros:- Ease of use.- Value for money.- Performance.- Size.Cons :- Nothing I can think of.Overall, I really like this cake tin, I have no cons or recommendations as I am really happy with it. I will continue to use my tin and would recommend it to a friend.

Nothing like as advertised!
This cake tin was delivered on time, which is why I awarded the one star. I guess that's why we can't award no stars for anything. Other than that, here's why the item does not merit any more stars:The cake tin was loose inside a thin poly bag inside an oversized Amazon box when it arrived (not even any padding paper, let alone a product box). The more cynical among us might think that the cake tin was a returns item that has been resent out. Who knows?Dent-proof? Nope; it had one large dent and a couple of smaller dents in it upon arrival and inspection.Scratch-proof? Nope; there are several little scratches along the top edge and part of the coating is missing on the lower inner edge.Round? Nope; more like egg-shaped and because of that the removable bottom plate is ill-fitting.Rust-proof? I very much doubt it with the protective coating already peeling off.Restaurant grade? Nope, but that claim does make me smile with the irony of it.Strength of the spring? I have yet to put that to the test, but this tin is so flimsy I doubt the spring will last very long before it goes twang! The only claim to be correct about this tin is that it 'appears' to be 20cm/8ins in diameter, but that depends on which way I measure it. Not being round as stated, it is not possible to give an accurate measurement.Send it back? Amazon require a return label to be printed off from my computer if I go down that route. I do not have a working printer at present anyway, so this is a non-starter if I did want my money back. So, it seems, I am stuck between a rock and a hard place with this item. All the above being said, I am still prepared to give this vastly overpriced cake tin a test-drive later today when I intend to bake a ginger cake (so? We happen to like ginger cake!). To avoid any calamitous issues, I will be lining the tin with greaseproof paper both top and sides and will place a 'catch-all' tray on the lower shelf (below the shelf with the filled cake tin) in the oven, just in case. Now all I need to do is try and make that bottom plate of the cake tin fit... ☺

Perfect for cheesecake
I ordered this to make a cheesecake for the first time. I did follow a recipe which had a link for what one to buy but it hadn’t loaded and so I found this via my friend telling me what size to get. It was very light and therefore easily goes away in the cupboard. The flicky things on the side make it easy to use and the bottom of it drops out easily once they’re undone.

Spring poor quality
A pity but the spring mechanism was very weak and I was concerned that it would snap when used as it required a lot of pressure to use. Therefore I only used as ordinary tins.

Deep
I made a quiche and wanted it to be deep, was easy to open and quiche stayed whole.
