Q: I've always bought this refrigerated and the Rosita website says it needs to be. Is this refrigerated in the Amazon warehouse?

Hello Patrick, Thanks so much for your question. Yes, the Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil liquid must be refrigerated after opening. However, refrigeration is not needed for short-term storage and shipping. To your other question, the Rosita liquid is not refrigerated in the Amazon warehouse. Organic 3, Inc. maintains U.S. distribution centers where Rosita liquid is refrigerated for long-term storage. We ship small quantities to Amazon on a monthly basis to ensure the freshness. As we touched on above, the oil is stable enough to be stored as such - and even to ship ground and without cold packs (to some of the hottest states in the US like Florida and Arizona). This is possible because each bottle is nitrogen flushed and capped without oxygen. Without oxygen in the bottle, the oil cannot oxidize or lose its freshness. Your Rosita liquid is also bottled in a dark, amber bottle to prevent oxidation from light. In addition, Rosita includes a unique antioxidant package (a drop of a mix of vitamin E and rosemary oil) to further prevent any oxidation in the oil and increase its shelf life. Once Rosita liquid is opened, however, it is important to refrigerate the oil, as it will then be exposed to oxygen. Keeping open bottles of Rosita cold, along with its antioxidants, will help to extend the life of the oil. The smaller 150 ml bottle size was designed to ensure the oil will be consumed long before any signs of oxidation set in. All of this is to say that Rosita anticipated long and hot shipping times - as well as consumption and storage times, while creating the oil - and developed the oil so that it would be stable and safe to consume. Q: Does it have same benefits as fclo from green pastures?

Thank you for your question. Our Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil is very different from Green Pasture’s fermented cod liver oil. Rosita’s Atlantic cod is from the clean, arctic waters of Norway. The fish livers are captured, and the oil is bottled within 48 hours. Green Pasture’s fish is caught in Alaska and sits in vats for up to a year before being processed into oil. EVCLO is not fermented. Rosita EVCLO is produced using an extremely rare ancient method which results in a fresh, wild & raw cod liver oil that was the preferred oil for the traditional people of the Old Norse culture. EVCLO is a fresh, wild-caught and raw cod liver oil. Rosita works hard to keep it fresh from fish to the bottle to you, as no heat, chemicals, or mechanical processes are used in the production. This means it has naturally occurring vitamins A and D. The full spectrum of omega fats are intact, too. The entire point of Rosita’s ancient, gentle production of EVCLO is to protect the fragile nutrients and fats, which give the oil it's efficacy. Product gets really hot during delivery

It's a cold pressed oil which should be kept cool to maintain quality.But during delivery it gets very hot and that's a big negligence on amazon's behalf. We are paying to get the freshest thing. But little negligence deteriorated the product quality.
