not your run of the mill floor lamp.
Very cool lamp! Already getting compliments. Easy as pie to put together. I will agree with many reviewers when they say it is not the sturdiest thing out there, but for the price it's just fine. I find the strongest setting is a good brightness while the lowest setting is just the right dimness. It's a great light.

A TRULY FUNCTIONAL WORK OF ART!
You need a photo to see how awesome this light is! My photo really doesn't do it justice but it's far better than the product illustration here on Amazon. Having said that, on to the pros and cons.PROS: Ridiculously easy to assemble after taking a brief glance at the instructions. I notice one reviewer said her lamp wasn't perfectly straight. It's likely because each section wasn't tightly screwed into the adjacent section. You've really gotta twist them into the adjacent section until it doesn't turn any further. Same goes for screwing in the pole to the base. Make sure they're all tight, and it stands at a near-absolutely-perfect 90-degrees with zero wobbling!- The hoops can be configured in quite a few different ways, making this lamp even more "artsy"/awesome!- It's a genuine conversation piece. Everyone who comes into my office does a double-take.- When placed in a corner (as I did in my office) the lights make for cool lines/shadows on the walls. SO cool that I deliberately kept wall pictures away from it so they wouldn't distract from the light patterns. Trust me. VERY cool lines on the walls that aren't that discernable in my photo.- Of the 3-way settings, the medium setting is perfect lighting [for my tastes] while the dimmest setting is wonderful mood-lighting.CON: As in... there's only one that I've noticed. The brightest setting is too bright. [Again. My taste.] The photo shows the lamp on the dimmest setting, otherwise the picture would be too blown out.BOTTOM LINE: This lamp is fantastic. Kudos to the designer. I feel bad for the company for the simple reason that the illustration just doesn't do it justice. Hopefully more folks who review this and love it as much as I do will include their own photos, so I hope this photo helps.

Very Cool Lamp, but Not Very Sturdy
I give this lamp 3 stars for functionality and 5 stars for its “cool” factor, thus my 4-star rating. Functionally, the lamp is just not sturdy enough to earn more than 3 stars. The base is heavy enough, but the pole is too thin to keep it from wobbling with even the slightest touch. If the lamp is to be placed where it will be exposed to active kids or pets, I would not recommend it. I don’t think it would tip over, but it could easily be knocked against a wall exposing the light rings to major damage. Also, I’m just not impressed with the brightness of this lamp even on the highest setting. It’s bright, sure, but I don’t think it comes anywhere near 2,000 lumens. Another negative is that the lamp cannot be turned on and off with a light switch, making it impractical for some applications. On the plus side though, this is indeed a very cool lamp. The light rings are futuristic and it makes a great conversation piece for any room. The three light modes give the lamp a lot of versatility. The switch, which sits just below the rings, responds to a light touch and goes from high to medium to low and then off.I personally don’t think this lamp is worth its $90 price tag, but it’s cool enough that I’m going to keep it anyway. Again, I would not recommend it if you have kids or pets that might bump into it. You want this lamp in a place where it can just sit quietly and do its thing.

Clean, sturdy, and modern. Perfect lamp.
Perfect fit for what I was looking for in my home office. Also purchased the matching desk lamp (single ring) and it matches beautifully. This lamp can be very bright but has 3 levels of brightness. Only the button causes dining, so it never changes in its own when bumped, etc., as some lamps do. Easy to assemble. Very small footprint, and a sturdy base.My experience is that it stands perfectly upright and is completely silent. (I am sensitive to electronic buzzing sounds and there's zero issue with these...)I've had numerous compliments after excitedly posting some photos online. (A few people made "Eye of Sauron" jokes because of the angle of the inner ring in the picture, but in person, it's not all that sci-fi looking; very elegant and modern. Now I keep the inner ring at about 20 degrees' tilt because I like the way it looks.) Attaching a couple of photos to show size and ring adjustability; both pictures taken during the day with the lamp on low. Hope this helps.Highly recommend, and I will buy more from Brightech in the future!

UNIQUE FLOOR LAMP WORKS GREAT AND ATTRACTS ALL MY GUESTS' ATTENTION
We needed some strong light for a corner where we play board games and where the bookcase is located. I wanted light but didn't want the eyeline to the books on the bookcase to be blocked by a huge lampshade. This light fits the bill beautifully. It is lovely and tall and the light rings hardly blocks sightline to the books at all. The three-way switch is located on the stem just under the rings. My hand went to it automatically even before I had located the switch visually. The dimmest light is great for when we watch TV to give the room a little ambient light without glaring and the strongest light is perfect for reading, playing board games, etc. The rings themselves are not as robust as I would like but their light weight makes them easy to adjust position by moving the cube-shaped swivels at the top of the stem. The base is very thin but heavy enough to make the lamp stable. I am very happy with my purchase because of all of the above and because I have never seen anything remotely like it anywhere. I am extremely happy with this lamp.
