Perfect finish
The results I had using this product were exactly what I envisioned. I painted kitchen and bath cabinets a shade of blue lighter than what I wanted the end result to be with the hopes that the ebony finished would enhance and deepen the blue. It worked perfectly. In one picture you can see the start of the project with one door finished next to the door that only had paint. You only need a little and should work in small areas buffing it out as you go. It dries quickly. I painted a piece of wood to practice on before I was ready to move on to the cabinets. I also watched a few YouTube videos to get some ideas on how to apply it. I bought a wax brush, but never used it. I used ripped up tshirts to apply and also to buff out. Wear gloves to avoid staining your skin. The finish is very smooth with a slight satin sheen and looks like a professional furniture finish. I absolutely love the results. Great product.

Powerful, Great Results, Toxic odor.
The media could not be loaded. I have a black table that I bought a few years ago from Restoration Hardware and it is now riddled with water stains, dry cracking and dullness. So I did my research and Briwax was the the one recommended by so many wood specialists so I ordered this can in the ebony. It recommended the Pre-application of Briwax Shellac Sanding Sealer - 16 oz and this Briwax Steel Wool Grade 0000 Oil Free 225g 1/2lb Roll so I got those too. I did start with the Sanding Sealer and Had no I idea what it was, but I followed the directions and it added a shiny and smooth appearance. After that dried, I opened the Can of ebony Briwax and OMG, i don't know if I have EVER smelled anything so strong, I jumped back and got a fan and mask. Wow. Do not use this without ventilation. (They do warn you of that, but i think it should be bigger print). I put it on, let it dry and buffed it with the very last thing they recommended 1 X Wax Buffing Brush - Drill. I'll review all those shortly. The result is amazing. I love this stuff. But that smell !!! Be Cautious.

Easy to use
This was the absolute easiest product to use. The results are easy to see, top cabinets are done, bottom ones original. Cleaned cabinets and applied one coat, wiped down, done!

Didn’t work with cabinets but still a good product
Didn’t work for what I intended it for which is my veneer cabinet’s, looks like I will have to paint them after all. But I did use it for some other things in my home like this transition molding on my floors. My floors were darker and it helped to blend in the transition molding.

First Time Using
I stripped this dresser and then applied Briwax. I used the clear on the top and the drawers and the ebony on the sides and trim. Briwax was easy to use, and I love the contrast. My son uses this dresser. The wax appears to be holding up with use. I have used the ebony Briwax on other pieces without stripping the previous color off. It has toned down those pieces and given them a little more character. I have also used the ebony Briwax over chalk paint--the piece is not a "heavily used" piece.

Difficult to install and not for a fine piece of furniture
This product is like a bad shoe polish. It will run at room temperature and makes a mess. It is hard to apply, cannot get a light coat.It is extremely difficult to remove. I used it on my black Baby Grand Piano that is beautiful, and I only wanted to enhance the finish, there was no improvement. Luckily, I only tried on the lid and key cover areas, it took so long to apply and remove and it was super difficult for both. They will not accept a return. That's ok because I learned a good lesson about this company.

AMAZING!!
Before Briwax ebony is on the lower cabinets and after is on the upper cabinets. Did my whole kitchen with one tub. Couldn’t be happier and they look amazing!!! Highly recommend!! I cleaned really well with a scrubbing wipe, brushed the grain with a natural bristle brush, applied Briwax with steel wool then wiped off with cheese cloth. Super simple and didn’t have to sand or take off the hardware either!! Love this stuff!!
