Well, looking at the quality it's excellent the price was excellent well made I can't complain yes it is not as small as you think but you can only see print that is in the lens and you'll get used to it but if you need something larger like a bigger magnifying glass this is not for you but if you do this for modeling and a little bit of detailing work this is excellent also yes you can read using this but it takes some getting used to. I'd highly recommend this product.

Just got it in the mail. I was excited to get it because of the high magnification of 30X. It's not 30X. It's not even close to 30X. I compared it to my 8X reading glasses, which are very strong for reading glasses. This magnifier is about the same magnification as my glasses. I had hoped for more. It's probably 30 diopters, which would put it at a little less than 8X.The quality of the lens is not very good.On the barrel of the loupe, it states "30X36" and "Made in Germany". On the plastic ziploc bag it was packaged in was a label that stated "Made in China". Perhaps the barrel of the loupe was made in Germany and the lens were made in China. I don't know, but it is suspicious.Bottom line: if you are looking for a powerful loupe, try a different on.

Sometimes magnifying glasses just aren’t enough. This is perfect for examining things you can’t even see with your progressive lenses and 3x or even 10x magnifiers. It’s cool looking. Very cute.
