Saved me tons of money. I used Rectorseal #5 and it comes with all the fitments necessary. Easy, but stay working with code for your area. This is probably better than the original parts IMO

Saved me from buying a brand new wall heater!
There is one connection on the top of the unit that should be a union but it's a pipe connection and I tweaked my copper tubing removing the old Robert Shaw valve. This is a design flaw with the Williams Wall Heater unit though and not the valve itself. The valve has been operating smoothly since instillation!

Easy Replacement on Heatilator GNRC33 Fireplace
After testing the ThermoPile, Thermistor and switches; all testing good, I decided to replace the original valve on a seldom-used 25yr old Heatilator fireplace.This valve has three setup options, my systems is Millivolt and the valve has a wire from the Thermocouple to electrical connection - instructions mention Error in original millivolt design so, I did Not hook-up the Thermocouple from the fireplace, I just installed the Plugs and Thread reducers.Bingo!
