Sonos Roam - A Portable Waterproof Wireless Speaker- Black

Saw the speaker when l was touring UK - was floored by the quality of sound it was producing from that small body. Most tones emanating very clear and crisp, especially with the bass sounding quite refined. l couldn't buy it as they had run out of stock and thus returned home to buy it here. After placing the order l read a whole lot of reviews mentioning how difficult the setup was. In fact my experience was totally different - it was very easy and took a few minutes to do the same. l have just started using it and would like to see how it works in the long run and also while moving around with it as l travel. Right now it is working perfectly fine. Shall update later as l keep using the speaker

Best in portable class probably if you like flat soothing sound signature though the lower end decreases in intensity with high volume. It is not very loud and not good for large area where UE Megaboom shines but for small gathering it is perfect. Sound quality is much better than Megaboom. Portability is very good. It perfectly matches my requirements as I mainly use it during travelling.

The speaker is great as I had expected having owned various Sonos products earlier. However I must mention that the seller has charged almost 2k over the listed and mentioned MRP on the packaging. Which is unethical and illegal.

Sonos Roam is one of the premium products available in the market today in the portable Bluetooth speakers category and is also one of the costliest in the range.I bought this product on 27 Dec 2022 and it stopped working totally within 3 months of use only. I cannot force reboot or factory reset. Amazon's returned window was closed after 1 month of purchase. So, when I reached out to Amazon, they refused to do anything about the purchase, return, or refund and requested I go to Sonos company for any further help and warranty support.When I reached out to Sonos, they redirected me to the local distributor in India, i.e. tyrsonos.in (Luxury Personified LLP), and the process of getting the product repaired or replaced is not customer friendly at all.When you pay a premium cost, you expect premium services after sales as well.

For practical use, this product is poorly designed. The power button is located at the round edge. In your bag, it get pressed automatically almost every time. And when you take it out to listen music you will find battery gone.The initial setup is such a pain. You need wifi to set it up. Won't be able to use it with bluetooth without first wifi setup.The reset function is such as pain. Someone who does not know it, they keep play button pressed and boom, it get reset. Now you need to setup again with wifi.Poor design and engineering. Makers give zero thoughts about practical usage.
