Stops leaking
I had 1 sprinkler zone that was on a small slope... just enough that at the end of each cycle the last sprinkler head would leak all of the water still within the pipe. This resulted in several gallons of water running down the street. I was looking at putting in a check valve, but this sprinkler head was much easier and a very good fix. It works great and was easy to just change out the existing sprinkler - moving the spray nozzle to this new head - and not needing to dig up the pipes to install a check valve. Would definitely buy again if I have another area that drains.

This sprinkler head seals when it drops down when the sprinklers shut off.
It resolved the excess drainage issue I had as it is the last sprinkler in the system. This head is on the end of the slope.

Accommodates any Rain Bird head
I recently started maintenance on a long-neglected garden area on the property. The sprinklers were Rain Bird, and the system was installed decades ago. Did a deep dive on their product line and started the process of upgrading all the sprinklers. Although the in-place system still basically 'worked,' there were some trouble spots and wasted water in areas. The most disappointing area was one sprinkler that was downslope from the rest - after shut-off, leftover water in the pipes always poured out of the sprinkler making a muddy mess and pooling excess out onto the sidewalk. This gravity-induced 'low head drainage' at first seemed like something I'd have to live with, until I discovered this product. What a Godsend! I simply removed (unscrewed) the device from its canister (watch out, the spring on this one is a lot stronger that their 'normal' devices!), screwed in my preferred sprinter 'head' to the top of the shaft, and installed it in the buried canister in the garden. Took literally just 2 minutes. Turned on the system, let it run a bit, turned it off, and no more leaking/pooling of excess water at the device. Absolute game changer and highly recommend for those in a similar situation.

Success
My sprinklers are at the bottom of a slope and these stop the flow of water while they’re off nicely.

Stops water from dribbling out when sprinkler is shut off on low part of hill.
I liked that it stops water from dribbling out after being shut off. What I don't like is how difficult it is to adjust water flow with the tiny screw on top of sprinkler. I also found the pattern adjustment is also difficult to adjust.

Stopped sprinkler leak
This stopped a persistent sprinkler leak (after system turned off) from a sprinkler located at the lowest part of my yard. It will now be my go to item for all my future sprinkler replacements at any location...more than worth the slight extra cost over standard rain bird spray head.

Leak-A-Matic
While the system is running everything works great, I couldn't be happier. I have Rain Bird R-Van nozzles installed on all these heads. This would be a 5 star review if the Seal-A-Matic function was included or worked as advertised. Rain Bird claims the valves trap water with up to 14 feet of elevation change. I have about 6 feet of elevation change in one zone and after shutoff a large amount of water drains out of the lower nozzles wasting water and causing a mess of erosion. I also tried Rain Bird HE-Van nozzles, same leaky situation. There are other Rain-Bird heads in the lawn that don't leak, perhaps I was sent a different product than advertised. If you have any slope in your lawn I'd look elsewhere for this product.
