This battery performs very well with my Black & Decker weed eater, and is powerful enough to last to trim my whole yard. I recommend it.

I. studied the descriptions and reviews carefully growing ever more anxious as I read the admonitions.(It really is a shame how. Amazon's reviews and sales tactics have deteriorated - a loss of all that the internet could have been to help consumers!)I know the present is often not an accurate prediction of how a product will perform, but these batteries. seem just fine. I'm pleased to see how well they fit in the charger and the various devices they power.

I thought this was a good price, however based on the performance, don't know if we received a defective battery. We have used this 3 times, the first it seemed as though the charge was good, 2nd time it stopped after approx. 10 min, the 3rd time on a full charge again, only got approx. 8 min., there was a strange odor as well. Will return for a replacement and do another review at that time.Revised 06-02-2019:We received the replacement, charged it, again no results. At this point after researching further, we feel the B&D Grass Hog is where we're having the problem, not the battery. Returned 2nd battery for full credit. Upgraded the rating to a 4 star.

We got this to replace one of the two batteries that came with our 18V Black & Decker Grass Hog trimmer and was purchased from ExpertPower Direct (this is stated in case other dealers are selling the "same" item which could vary in quality). Previously, it took overnight to charge each battery that came with the trimmer and we needed both batteries to trim our entire yard. With this new battery, we had it charging for about 6 hours the first time just to try it out and it ended up trimming our entire yard quite easily. I would highly recommend this product.

We’ve had ours for years snd they won’t hold a charge, anymore. Found these and they work great, so far!!! So glad we tried them!

My batteries died on my B/D home drill/driver set. Researched new drill/drivers and associated tools and cost would be in excess of $200. I opted for a pair of batteries which put new life in the old set for a fraction of the cost. If they hold up as long as the originals, I will be very satisfied.Price was good and delivery prompt. No complaints..

Arrived fully charged and works well so far with my older Black and Decker bush/hedge trimmer. All Ni-cad batteries are a bit heavy, so no surprise there. It has 3 prongs. Also said my old B&D would work to charge it but it doesn't. I just got a new charger (only has 2 slots without descriptive warning) but it does seem to work. This would and could have been so much easier if the sellers stuck to a format that included appearance and compatibility better. I hated having to get another charger. I'll juggle and work with all these until they die. We'll see if I get enough work out of them. I'm more pissed at B&D for obsolescence lack of support.

It is announced as a Black + Decker 18 V fiit but it is not. Item returned. Then bought an original battery replacement and now my cordless drill is working just fine.
