Absolutely Fantastic ✨
In a world where every day is a struggle to survive, Abriella Kincaid has had to find creative ways for her and her sister, Jasalyn to scrape by. Whether it be thieving from those of the upper class or by working her fingers to the bones, she’ll do whatever it takes. It’s always been the two of them together and, as long as they have each other, no cost is too great. When Jas is sold by their aunt to the Unseelie King, Brie knows she will do anything to get her sister back. Even if it means entering the faerie realm she has spent most of her life loathing. Now, charged with the task of saving Jas, Brie will have to decide whom to trust or if she can truly trust anyone. This book is chock full of magic and mystery, with a hefty plot and tons of mayhem. There are strong Cinderella vibes in the first half of the story. And it’s easy to fall into the world Lexi Ryan has created. The strength of the FMC is fantastic; even when her emotions are getting the better of her. It’s exciting and frustrating and so well written that you can’t help to connect with the characters. These Hollow Vows is a fantastic story that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. This is a story of self discovery and of finding strength in yourself when it feels like all hope is lost. Of having the strength to fight for the ones you love even when the odds are stacked against you. It’s a story about learning who to trust when everyone around you is only looking out for themselves. And it’s about learning that sometimes, no matter how much good you want to see in someone, it just doesn’t exist.Tropes in this book include:Orphaned HeroineParallel WorldsChosen OneHidden IdentityTests, Allies, EnemiesKingdoms At WarShadow MagicLove Triangle

Loved it!
"𝐴𝑏𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑎, 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑠𝑘𝑦 𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑦𝑜𝑢." ❤️Let me tell you that I read the last 30 pages of this book barely breathing and that I’ve never felt so betrayed by a character before. These Hollow Vows gave everything it promised.A really good plot, fantasy, morally grey characters, action, mysteries, the opportunity to create theories, a new fantasy world and twists. When the first revelation happened right at the beginning I started wondering if the story would have any plot twists at all. If what I thought to be one of the biggest secrets was being revealed like it was nothing, what the hell was waiting for me?So I started tabbing everything I thought was a possible clue for a plot twist. In my defense, I always get at least one theory right.Loved Finn. Loved how he was introduced, loved his personality and how he was with Brie – the shower scene!!!! And when they’re watching the stars!! – Team Finn all the way.Loved to see Brie as a brave girl that was ready to do everything to save her sister. The mystery around the location of the Unseelie Crown was so well played along the book that when I finally knew where it was, I had to put the book aside and stare to my wall for about 10m. I may have said OMG a dozen times. At 30 pages to finish the book something happened that I thought was the perfect ending… but there were 30 pages left!!! Wtf could happen that she needed 30 more pages when she had the perfect badass ending for the book at that moment?!That’s when I remembered that she shared on her account that her daughter was mad at her cause of the ending of the book… so…. Shit’s about to happen. And it happened.I’ve never felt so deceived and betrayed by a character before. One of my theories was right, of course, but I only got half the truth. The rest of it was so mind blowing that I gave this book 5 stars right away.I’m so excited and anxious to read the second book.

A fantasy full of conflict!
A thief, Abriella, breaks into the vault of a man who became rich from selling females into prostitution. She only steals enough to carry so he won’t notice it’s missing. On her way home, Brie (Abriella) stops at a friend’s home to pay for the contract her daughter has just signed with the rich man. She did this to get medicine for her mother. Now Brie doesn’t have enough money to pay her rent to Madam V., her greedy, horrible aunt who makes Brie and her younger sister Jas live in a basement storage room. Brie and Jas also have to slave away taking care of the house and two spoiled cousins. When Jas is sold to the Fae King, Brie travels through a portal pretending to be one of the many human women wanting to marry the Fae Prince Ronan. She meets an intriguing Fae male that keeps showing up wherever she goes but then she’s caught by the king and finds out he took Jas as bait to get Brie’s help. The king wants Brie to steal artifacts from Prince Ronan’s court. She sees Sebastian where she never thought she would and runs from him because she’s surprised and angry. Once she comes to terms with who Sebastian really is, Brie realizes that she can use it to her advantage in finding the relics and getting Jas back. She does care for Sebastian and feels guilty for using him. The intriguing Fae male is Finn and she works with his group to stop the king. They help her with the shadow magic she has. Brie feels trapped and alone throughout the story because she doesn't know if she can trust anyone but she perseveres to get Jas safe again.I enjoyed reading this book because of Brie, the main character. She’s strong, resilient and will do anything to save her sister. The conflicting two main male characters make the story interesting, especially since they’re both vying for Brie’s attention. 5 stars for this fantasy full of conflict!
