BlackBerry ASY-34812-001 Mini External Battery Charger for BlackBerry D-X1 / F-S1 / F-M1 Battery - Bulk Packaging

My phone is so messed up. Occasionally, it would just drain a battery down to nothing and I'd have to buy a new battery to put in it and sometimes, you just could not get the phone to charge the battery, no matter what tricks you did. Obviously, something is not working properly with my phone, perhaps the battery contacts are messed up or something is fried in my phone, but if I have extra charged batteries on-hand, I'm fine. Besides, I'm waiting for the new Blackberry to come out and don't want to upgrade yet.I cannot speak for the folks who have received defective charger units, but mine is working PERFECTLY! I purchased mine from IBD Electronics. It looks to be from the Original Manufacturer (Blackberry) and I've used several FS-1 batteries in it with 100 pct positive results. It has an orange light on the charger while charging, which turns green once the battery is fully charged. I have only used this with my A/C adapter (wall charge cord), as most people recommend you get a far better and quicker charge than with a car charger. I do not intend to use mine in the car, anyway.This little gizmo was/is a real life saver! Can't wait until the new Blackberry is available!

I`ve never seen a charger quite like this before . It`s designed to enable u to keep a spare battery charged at all times , and it excels at this ! Plus the charger is very tough and makes an excellent place to store a spare while u r out and about as it slides easily into a pocket !Contrary to what the product description says , u can`t charge both a spare battery in this and ur device with only a single USB cable ! I wish my backup device , the Nokia 700 , had a charger like this !

It is a good product that fulfills the purpose which it was designed. I always try to buy the accessories from the same brand of product I have, in this case for the battery of a blackberry style, but have to be careful because the product cannot withstand drops or any kind of accident.

Before you buy this product, please check your battery. If it is an FS-1 type DO NOT buy this charger. The description stating that this charger will charge an FS-1 battery is wrong. After receiving it in the mail, the package plainly says this charger is for D series batteries. Their is a DX-1 battery used to charge blackberry phones. If you have a DX-1 battery, this charger may work. I don't have this type of battery so I can't say for sure, except the package says this charger is for D series batteries. As said in other reviews, when attempting to charge an FS-1 type battery, the LED light initially illuminates orange, then in about a minute or so, it will turn red indicating it is not charging. I left a battery in the charger overnight and it did not charge it even a little bit. There is another charger on Amazon that looks exactly like this one with a slightly different description that also does not work for the FS-1 battery. I know my batteries are good since I had them verified good at an AT&T service center. BEWARE!!!! Amazon has been notified of this problem as well as the seller of this product.

I have a older blackberry(4-5yrs old) Unfortunately the charging port on my cell phone doesn't work anymore so instead of buying a new iphone, I decided to buy extra battery & battery charger then flip batteries in and out of my cell. After a year my battery charger broke and sprint didn't sell that brand anymore:( After several days of searching every Sprint store for a replacement and my cell phone being dead, I went to amazon and found this charger, very affordable so I bought two (one for my house and one my car). Works great, wish I bought it sooner!
