They arrived pretty fast they were fresh in the can and The Taste was great.

It looked weird at first with the black ink sauce but once you add garlic and onion, it tastes great

I'll admit it: I'd never had squid in ink before and now I am an ABSOLUTE fan. On its own it tastes amazing, but it's when you add it to other dishes that it really shines. The squid and sauce work extremely well with rice. I just had another can (about three minutes ago) over a steamed dish of cauliflower, peppers and scallions and my tummy is friggin' HAPPY right now! The only thing that would have made it better would be some nice meaty scallops and/or shrimp thrown in — the included oil and seasoning in the can seems to happily coat whatever is thrown in. If not, throw a tad bit more olive oil in there and it should do the trick. YUM! A GIANT thumbs up!

that was an educational experience....the can was 2/3 curdled squid ink and about 1/3 tiny chopped nondescript pieces of tissue that presumably came from a squid....there was nothing about the appearance or flavor of the few pieces in the can that i could identify with squid....fortunately the cat turns out to enjoy squid ink in oil so he will rejoice in the other 2 cans.....this item raises gougingly overpriced deception to a new level
