We purchased this because our dishwasher broke and it had water in it and so this worked pretty well to get rest of the water out, it beats purchasing a wet and dry vac! Great suction power, perfect size, no leaks, durabilty and designed perfectly. I noticed that the bottom screws off and you can use the filter bottom or just screw it off and have no filter. It's a great suction hose.

I have quite a small tank (advertised as 3.5 gallons, it's not. I can only fill it up with a bit over 2.5 gallons of water). This is a little large and having never used a siphon before it took a couple attempts before I got the hang of it, mostly because I was using the wrong end in the water to start with. The skinny end is the discharge and the end furthest from the blue bulb goes into your tank, just FYI. Once I actually read the directions, though, this worked very well. The siphon vacuum is designed rather like a strainer - I could see sand or microscopic gravel getting sucked into the tube, but I had no issues with my ordinary-sized gravel. This drained the water quickly and got a lot of waste off the bottom. It's not perfect, but I didn't expect it to be - my fish was thrust upon me as a white elephant gift and I've had to gradually get equipment one paycheck at a time. Daily water changes, which I've been doing, will not clear nearly a month's worth of grime off the bottom and I didn't expect one change using the siphon to do it either. I expect my betta is going to be a lot happier now that I can clean his tank properly and keep the nitrate levels down by being able to get rid of waste.

Small item that does large scale work . I use this item to empty a 40 gallon fish tank when cleaning. I’ve had this pump for 2 years now and I’m still using it for that purpose. Performs flawlessly. Will buy another soon. Keep one on hand for me.

Item itself, kinda flimsy but not a bad price for that. It would have served the purpose. My issue is the split in the hose. This is because of the way it was packaged. I have pics before and after. I checked it as soon as I received it because other said split in hose. Probably the reason.

The product is lightweight, but does a great job. I would buy this again in the future if needed,

It sucked the water out fast but I lost quite a bit of sand. Looks a lot better than it did before DONT GET THIS IF YOU HAVE SAND!

No longer having to slosh around disturbing my plants and fish bc this has a pump; just insert and squeeze til flowing. There is a section of it that easy to pinch to stop flow as needed to get around plants.The suction power is greater than my old one. The dirty water is so much darker than before so I feel it reaches into the gravel better. If you have baby snails just put some knee high stockings over it to catch them.The material feels sturdy and I have recommended this one alot.
