This item is absolute rubbish it certainly is not for a beginner. The parts are very flimsy and different thicknesses and easy break. The instructions are none existent and you cannot even follow the picture as few and far between. If I had only taken the time and looked before I started it would have been on its way back to Amazon

The ship makes up into a nice model, the construction of the hull planking can be fairly difficult. The other parts have a very good fit. Overall a good value for money model.

Not worth the plywood it's printed on... It came with No box, just a clear plastic sleeve, Chinese instructions. I didn't even open the packaging just sent it straight back. I guarantee it will look absolutely nothing like the picture of the ship in the advert. Buyer beware!!! Save the £18 X 5 and buy yourself a proper kit from Mantua or whomever

instructions very basic but it is a good starter kit.If you're after realism, I would recommend buying the brass cannons with it as the kit ones are not at all realistic.Be careful removing small items as they can break.

Am no stranger to models and being precise, but I'd avoid this set completely. It uses plywood so thin that slightest pressure breaks it apart. Some of the pieces are so tight to join together than basically you gonna sand down nearly every one of them. I guess you get what you pay for. But I'd rather buy something more expensive next time. And always ALWAYS check the reviews.
