As I'm old, I had one of these as a child and actually managed to do it. Recently on a family holiday one of the children had one, so I couldn't resist having a go. I couldn't quite do the last layer, so found this one and for the price I thought why not. This product moves very easily with no sticking and after a little help from tinternet, I did it. The kids are loving it to, they can't quite do it yet but they will.

Upgraded from an 80s cube that's getting stiff and rattly. It's small, allowing good control even with smaller hands. It's super smooth and light to the touch. Some other cubes use magnets to snap them into position, which I imagine gives a more positive action and lets you go faster. But this is a significant upgrade from stock, especially once I adapt my technique to make accurate twists.

Far from the best cube out there. Jams up sometimes. Bit clunky but for the money can’t go wrong. Great for beginners.

Son likes his “rubiks” cube. Cheap and cheerful. Seems sturdy enough. Would recommend.

This is really light, compared to my Rubik of the 80s. It is almost too loose when turning it though, as with some speed moves when you have to do over 20 turns you turn the cube in one direction and you can get a secondary turn in an opposing direction from an adjacent row of colours you are not trying to turn, as they slip. Hopefully I’ll get used to this as it is nice to handle otherwise.
