Q: Does this connect to the actual chair or the baby attachment?

It attaches to the baby seat attachment, not the stool. However, the baby seat is adjustable to fit a big toddler. My 4 yo still fits.

Q: Has anyone figured out how to disassemble the tray to clean the inside?

Q: Is the tray designed so that water could get inside, or is it one solid piece?

The tray is one solid piece with so many tiny spaces to collect food and moisture! I’ve had to use a toothpick so many times to clean out food from the tiny crevices. Awful product that I wish I’d never purchased.

Q: CAn you use the tray without the baby seat? Can it attach directly to the chair?

I don’t fully understand the question. The tray attaches to the seat attachment, not the stool portion of the chair.
