Q: These tweezers look like they have thin, needle-like ends... Is there sufficient surface area on them to even grab a splinter? I am confused!

I've used these enough since I purchased them to know that they're not great at pulling things with the tip directly. If I pull a hair, I have MUCH better luck with pulling from the side, kinda like flat tweezers, instead. The tip is actually fairly big and "looks" small in the picture. I bought a pair of actual needle tweezers from Sephora that are like $20 and those things are a beast when it comes to pulling out small things because it really is needle like and you can stab yourself if you're not careful. You do get what you pay for and I hoped that these would be a bargain but I don't use then really for anything anymore.

Q: Are the tips strong enough to pierce skin? Sometimes I see ingrown hairs under the skin so I pierce the skin to pull out the hair

Yes actually the are great for that. I recently had to pierce my skin and get a deep ingrown hair out and it worked way better than I thought it would. Excellent product

Q: Do the metal tips bend or get misshapen so they don't meet? I bought a different pair that and the tips bent. Thanks

These tweezers are strong and the tips don't bend if you're using them for splinters or ingrown hair. I was also worried that the tips wouldn't meet because maybe they're cheaply made, but it's absolutely not a problem. These are great quality. I have never tried to use them on hardware or crafts, maybe if you did that they'd get misshapen, but for hairs and splinters, no problem.

According to their website, this small business is owned (and was started) by a husband & wife team who live in Brooklyn, NY. But, according to the product description on Amazon the country of origin is Pakistan. (Btw, these tweezers are the best I’ve ever tried, but I wouldn’t have bought them if they’d been made in China.) Hope this helps you to understand that you would still be supporting a small USA business.
