Two flashes on old 45,000 unit.
I put this in my 14 year old Big Max 45,000. It was blinking twice to indicate an igniter issue. I took igniter and flame sensor out and cleaned them. No luck. I called the Mr Heater tech support and they steered me to the board. She even said I could save buying it from a few different suppliers. Basically I saved the shipping cost.Easy install. I took pictures with my phone of the wires and where each went to help put it back together.Fixed!

Unfortunate that the original board failed but this new seems to do the job. Have only run it twice so far

Stopped the short cycling
I’ve had my 45k btu Big Maxx for about 14 years now. A few weeks back the heater began to short cycle. As other posters indicate, I did see occasional sparks as the unit would struggle to relight and finish the heating cycle. It took a little bit of time, since I was working in tight spaces. But take photos and swap one wire at a time, and it will be back up and running. The heater runs all winter, so I’ve had good luck with mine.for as long as I’ve had it. I am disappointed in Mr. Heater’s tech support. I still haven’t had a response to my inquiry for the past month now, but thankfully I could fix it myself.

Heater control board
The control board worked as the original once I got it installed. The standoffs for the extra support spacers are snap in place but the spacers for the mounting screws were loose. This made it a trifle difficult to get the screws through the board and spacers while trying to start the mounting screws in their holes. The included mounting spacers would be much better if they were snap in as were the support spacers. The included wiring instructions were helpful.

It works
After buying every part for my garage heater not knowing on how to test items. It works. Even though I bought every part to make my heater work, I learned alot from changing out the part. And it was still cheaper than hiring someone to come fix it.
