This remote is awesome! I recently bought a Sony XBR-A8H 55 inch OLED TV in the US and I love the tv so much! I upgraded from a already awesome Sony XBR-900E from 2017 and I loved that TV as well but the A8H is a lot better because of the OLED technology! Anyways I’ve always love Sony products especially there TVs! The only thing I disliked a lot about the A8H is the remote control! The remote control that comes with it is the RMF-TX500U and let me tell you it’s not a nice remote at all! It’s super basic and the buttons are squishy and it feels super cheap! Yes it works great and gets the job done but in my opinion the A8H should have came with the RMF-TX611U like Sony’s flagship 8k LED tv did in 2020 being that the A8H was the flagship OLED tv of 2020 for Sony. So I did some research and found that you can actually buy the Z8H remote online but it will be the Euro version as I could not find the us version on Amazon or eBay etc. The Sony RMF-TX611E is great! I received it this morning and pairing it to my A8H was super simple and the remote compared to the RMF-TX500U is 10x better and feels so much more premium! The buttons have a more tactile feeling when you push them and the are also more responsive and not squishy like the RMF-TX500U! Also the front of the RMF-TX611E is brushed metal and looks and feels more premium than the plastic front of the RMF-TX500U! But the best feature and main reason I bought the RMF-TX611E was because it is a backlit remote and is perfect for any Sony oled tv owner! I watch my A8H mostly in the dark so this remote was a no brainer for me! It’s a little pricey don’t get me wrong be honestly I’m very happy I spent the 80$ on it cause it just made my A8H that much better of a tv! Like I said though I truly wish and believe Sony should have put the RMF-TX611U witch is the same thing as the RMF-TX611E but it’s the US version in the box with the A8H but they didn’t and they gave the RMF-TX500U like they gave with all of there other 2020 Sony TVs even the cheapest models witch is dumb to me! All the flagship and top end Sony’s should have received the premium backlit remote! But anyways not to steer of track with this review, the Sony RMF-TX611E is a must have for anyone that owns a Sony tv that this remote will pair with witch there’s a long list of TVs that will work with it witch is awesome for people that don’t want to use the terrible RMF-TX500U or whatever other cheap remote you wanna replace! If your on the fence about buying this remote cause of the price trust and believe you will be very happy with this remote compared to the stock remotes that come with your Sony TVs! Unless you have the Z8H of course lol but yes but this remote I highly recommend the RMF-TX611E and before you ask yes it will work with US or UK model Sony TV sets! Also service parts the company selling these remotes is in Greece and I received my remote in 2 weeks after ordering from Washington in the US so shipping was great and free for prime members! Go get this remote! You’ll thank yourself for doing so in the end!

Used this remote with backlit to replace my old remote for the Sony XBR-900E. Works flawlessly with one exception the voice control. Boo hoo. lol. Never use that function anyway. Outstanding remote.

Looks fantastic and love the backlight, but unfortunately the microphone feature isn't working.

Thank you for the very nice remote, as this is the remote that sony should’ve included with the XR a80J …. It costs a little more but it’s worth it nice weight and motion lite LED ☺️ Nice for the eyes in low light 💡 as well as the brush aluminum finish on top ….I wish to save up to buy another one for the Sony X90J as well, thanks

While it is a bit pricey, I love this remote. My Sony TV should have come with this. The backlight is such a great feature to have because I watch TV when it is getting dark and I turn the lights off around the TV so I can see what I am pressing in the dark. Good quality.

I liked that fact that it worked great lights on it but it stopped working after a month thought it was the battery's changed them but for the price I thought it would last longer.

It does appear to be a real Sony remote and works generally well. We really wanted one with more features than one (RMF-TX900U) that came with our TV (KD55X80CK).This one has individual numbers, and it's REALLY nice be able to press a number to go directly to the channel we want (however this remote does not seem to have the dot button needed for direct access to sub-channels for USA over-the-air digital).In general the buttons are responsive, unlike another one we tried, so if you do cable and don't need sub-channels, this one should work very well for you.

Buttons work much better than on remote that came with Sony AH8. Now I can see my remote selections in a darkroom. Built quality is better on this remote than factory-provided remote.
