Not Great Quality; Broke After One Attempted Use
I purchased this item to replace some missing buttons on a sofa I have. Loading the needle was easy, and my initial impression was that it would be able to complete the job. After piercing one location in my sofa to replace one button, I pulled the needle back out and it had broken at the tip, making it unusable. Upon closer examination the tip appeared to be nickel-plated plastic or possibly some kind of dull, soft base metal.I could see this needle potentially working for smaller tasks, but do not recommend it for tasks that require much, if any application of force to pierce through material. The needle lacks the constitution for these tasks. My plan is to invest the extra money into one of the german tufting needles.
