First of all it's Ascorbic acid. This particular Vitamin C is a brand of ascorbic acid made by DSM which is the last and only Western producer of vitamin C! It is made in the US. Doctor's Best is now owned by the Kingdomway Group, a publicly traded company in China. According to an article I read the primary reason Kingdomway purchased Doctor’s Best was to provide an authentic, manufactured in the USA brand to the rapidly expanding market in Asia.

Q: No stearate or stearic acids is wonderful however it does not contain rose hip, isnt that a requirement for vitamin c absorbtion can anyone clearify?

Definitely not a requirement. Vitamin C is water soluble, meaning all it needs for absorption is water. Most vitamin C supplements don't contain rose hips.
