It is made in the US. Doctor's Best is now owned by the Kingdomway Group, a publicly traded company in China. According to an article I read the primary reason Kingdomway purchased Doctor’s Best was to provide an authentic, manufactured in the USA brand to the rapidly expanding market in Asia.

Q: No stearate or stearic acids is wonderful however it does not contain rose hip, isnt that a requirement for vitamin c absorbtion can anyone clearify?

Definitely not a requirement. Vitamin C is water soluble, meaning all it needs for absorption is water. Most vitamin C supplements don't contain rose hips.
