Kahtoola 1st Gen NANOspikes Footwear Traction for ICY Winter Road Running & Walking

These fit my shoes just as expected. They are much easier to put on and off than my previous YakTrax were and feel much more stable. Time will tell if they are more durable as well. I like that there is no right/left difference and no Velcro straps. They have given me great traction running on snow, packed snow and ice this winter.

These are very well made and should provide years of service. I bought them on the recommendation of a couple friends who have had theirs for a very long time. Sizing seems accurate enough on these and the "large" size fits nice and snug on my Size 10 hiking shoes. I haven't walked on them a great deal yet but I've tested them out on my long gravel driveway that gets really slick after I plow the snow almost but not quite to the bottom, leaving a layer of ice after cars drive on it. I felt very steady walking on that surface as well as my iced up concrete patio.

I've only used these on a handful of runs but they have been perfect so far. One of the days the best footwear probably would have been ice-skates but I knocked out a run without any issues. The traction on these is incredible.My only concern is how well they will hold up over time. There's nothing to indicate there will be a problem but I just don't know if they will wear down running on asphalt during the shoulder season. The long warranty definitely gives me piece of mind.

The spikes are strong and not too deep---some are, for cement walking on icey snowy side walks, and yet still works on dirt really well.Fits my sneakers and hiking shoes!

I wear a size 11 hiking boot. The large size nano spikes fit well. I can walk on ice, packed snow and ice. Now that’s winter, we hike our road. After a nasty slip and fall, these spikes are wonderful. We liked them do well my wife got a pair. Her boot women’s size 8, we purchased size small. Something we didn’t know different color straps have different prices and varying delivery dates!

I bought these to be able to run on icy city streets and sidewalks that had clear pavement in places. Today I ran on hard packed snow, melting snow, icy snow and pavement. I did not slip at all and they were not damaged by the dry pavement. They lived up to their reputation.

The rubber framework stretches easily to fit over my shoes. I feel secure walking on ice.

We haven’t needed to actually use them yet, but I can say that they fit over shoes well.
