Sharp, Inexpensive Knife
Some things aren't optional in the kitchen and knives are close to the top of that list for me. I have a couple Shun products, the most used is their 10" Chef's Knife, and wanted to experiment with ultra-cheap products for a while before I could get my hands on a traditional Japanese set. This knife is truly incredible for the price.Nothing impresses me more than a quality product at some absurdly low cost and I still can't quite figure out why it's so cheap; it's made in Japan, the materials aren't bad at all, and even feels decent in the hand. It arrived impossibly sharp for a cheap blade and it's even held up well with frequent use with no signs of the handle or scabbard flexing at points where two materials are joined. I even think it's a pretty handsome little guy. While there are certainly other products that may be better in a variety of ways (better steel, better materials, etc.), I've never held a ten dollar knife and felt so confident in it.If you want a genuinely good, downright cheap knife, you couldn't do better than this.

What a great little $10 knife!!!
I was not expecting much for $10 but BOY was I wrong! This is a decent quality knife for the price - especially with the protective sheath which really helps keep the blade protected and sharp.Perfect size for fruit and veggies and actually I got this along with all the stuff to learn to make Sushi. It wouldn't be a great fish knife because the blade is too short, but works very well for cutting up the veggies.Hand wash and dry completely before putting the cover back on and it should last a long time if sharpened regularly :)Thumbs up!!!

Sharp little knife.
I won't say this is the best quality knife out there, but I will say it is more than adequate. Small, very sharp, easy to handle. It is very lightweight, that can be a good or bad thing depending on your perspective. It was easy to dispatch a small watermelon, cut right thru the rind and easily sectioned and cubed the flesh quickly and accurately. This is one sharp little knife, only time will tell if it stays that way. I can see where it would be handy in a lunch box or even a backpack for the hikers out there....and certainly in the picnic essentials, this knife makes short work out of tomatoes, as well as apples and pears. I will buy at least one other, and maybe a couple of more, endless uses for a compact blade that comes with its' own sheath/scabbard. I can even see using this for a steak knife, and acquiring a set won't empty your bank account.

Functional. Sheath is useful.
Low cost, functional, protective sleeve. This works well for us as a bar-knife for slicing limes and lemons, mainly. It doesn't get a lot of use as we don't drink a lot and, well, we're in shelter-in-place for SARS CoV-2 so we aren't having guests or serving drinks to friends. So far it remains sharp and I appreciate the sheath, which allows me to store it with our bar items without worrying about nicking myself or damaging the blade. It doesn't look particularly well made but it was an inexpensive purchase and I don't expect artistry for what I paid.

Great paring knife!
I love this knife and use it every day in the kitchen I work in. It's not the sturdiest of knives so I have to be careful what I do with it...but for most fruits and veggies, and an impromptu bag/box opener, it's great! It also conveniently fits in the shoulder-pocket of my chef's coat, where I keep it for easy access. The blade has stayed sharp so far, with only a little honing here and there.

Small and very sharp preparation knife
This is a wonderful small knife. Sharp, well made, and pleading to the touch. It is a good addition to your preparation for your kitchen. It is too small to be used for slicing, but for delicate or intricate cutting it is perfect. The cost is great too.

Great small knives
I've had similar knives over the years, from Joyce Chen. These are pretty much the same as Chen, and are just the perfect size for fruits, herbs, small things that come up to chop. I ordered 2, gave one to a friend, and she loves it too. Lovely gift, and so inexpensive!I might have to purchase more of them. Would make a nice set of steak knives.
