Very good product as described.
I am very pleased with the performance of this strimmer. However, it is a little heavy and the shoulder strap is like a Chinese puzzel.

Powerful !!
No mixing of oil and petrol. Dead easy to start and operate and very economical to run. Much quieter than expected. Eye protection is a must! Ploughed through my very long grass with ease. My only dislike is the supplied harness. Too complicated when a shoulder strap would have done fine. All in all, a very good buy!!

Extremely heavy and difficult to assemble.
Draper 31cc BrushcutterIt arrived on time. The package and contents were undamaged. Regardless of a number of adverse reviews regarding UPS, this was a big heavy box and very difficult to handle. The fact that it arrived in perfect condition speaks for itself. Thank you UPS and Delivery Drivers.I had to use a sack barrow to shift it in to the workshop. It was a nightmare to assemble and the instruction manual was useless.I hope it is eventually going to be worth the effort.OptimisticallyEwan MacDonald30/07/2024Today I finished assembling the Draper brushcutter and got it ready to go to work, expecting moreirritation. The very reverse happened. It started immediately at the first attempt and was tried out on some dense vegetation and brambles. It performed extremely well in every respect, couldn't fault it.After that carried on and ran it reasonaly hard for 7 hours, with no problems.

Don't overfill with oil
This product is delivered without any crankcase oil, so I tried to fill it using the crankcase dipstick. This proved to be a very wrong indicator, I managed to hydraulically lock the engine with oil visible on the spark plug electrodes. So I drained the machine and used a syringe to add the advised 70ml of oil and it has run fantastically ever since. I think it would be better to ship it with oil or with some sort of sachet, The instructions do not show the orientation of the machine when using the dipstick?

Very effective, but an absolute pig to start
I've had mine for a few days and I'm generally happy with it, with a couple of caveats:1. Contrary to one of the other reviews, I've found it horrifically difficult to start from cold2. The strimmer spooler was jammed and wouldn't advance3. The instructions are not great - particularly around how to use the harness and the quick release4. It would have been nice to include the first fill of oil in the pack, especially as 10w/30 isn't stocked by any of the stores in my areaAgainst that - it's powerful, not outrageously heavy, quieter than I expected, made short work of a pretty densely overgrown allotment and 4-stroke so doesn't need oil mixing with the fuelEDIT: after using it for some time, I've taken another star off. The feed mechanism on the strimmer spool just doesn't work at all, not on the original and not on a replacement, which renders the strimmer pretty useless after about an hour of use as the strimmer cord wears down and you can't feed new line from the spool. I dismantled the original spool, and found the line was jammed inside, and I freed it up but (a) it was horrendousl difficult to put back together, and (b) the feed still didn't work afterwards. I'm currently waiting for a response from Draper about this, and it's patently not fit for purpose as it is. Which is a shame, because the machine would be great if it weren't for all the niggles
