The Classic Adventures Of Paddington Bear The Complete Collection

I loved these books growing up. I enjoy sharing them with my grandchildren. A great book set.

I ordered 3 sets of these for gifts. Two sets arrived in perfect condition. In the third set, the plastic wrap and box were torn. I returned the "damaged" package and received a replacement. In the replacement the plastic wrap was torn open and had been re-taped. I decided to keep this one since I had already returned it once. At least the box was not torn and the books look to be in good condition. Good product just disappointed in the packaging when it arrived.

The Paddington books are all great and fun to read which makes them worth owning in any format, however this complete collection is fun to own as the books make a picture, which of course is of Paddington. This collection looks great though some of the book numbers, especially 15, are really light colored and hard to read. This would be a great collection to a young reader's library or for an older reader who loved the Paddington books as a kid.

I love it when the spines of the book go together to make one image. Looks so nice on the bookshelf!

This set is great for reading to kids as a bedtime story. Each chapter is long enough to be a good story, but not so long that it can't be read to them before bed. My kids love them and ask for them every night.

The size is perfect for carrying around to read to a child. Soft cover is safer for a child to handle than the hard corners of a hard cover book. My young child loves the mischiefs Paddington gets into, while unawaringly learning lots of sophisticated social behaviors, emotions, facial expressions and body languages. An older child or an adult will be able to also appreciate the humors and the writing style. It is a true classic. This series do not have constant illustration, and as a result allows plenty of room for a child to build his/her imagination from the beautiful text.
