The shoe is very reliable and it holds very well
I purchased this model of shoe first time 3 years ago after trying it at REI - the size that fitted me was 10.5 which is more than my regular number. I used my first shoe to hike the 500 miles of the camino de Santiago with not even a single blister. I bought a second exact shoe for my Kumano Kodo and part of the Shikoku also around 400 miles. Earlier this year I purchased my third exact pair and did the rest of Shikoku trail about 500 miles. I continue to use pair #1 for my garden work, Pair #2 - going to work with and probably wil start using Pair #3 for that purpose. No blisters, the shoe holds with no issue for miles and miles. Of course after so many miles part of the high areas at the bottom of the shoe get "sanded" and that's actually why I purchase a new pair.

My favorite for trail running
I am a woman with a size 9 and a wide forefoot. I wear the Wildcats in a men's 8.5. They are awesome for trail running. They are a bit heavy, but I run on technical terrain. The toe guard has saved me multiple times after kicking rocks. They are roomy in the toe box for my foot and have stability for my slight pronation. I use them all year round in sun, rain, and snow. Great traction. The only problem I've had is that the material in uppers wears very quickly. Still my favorite trail running shoes!

The 4runner of shoes
Like the 4Runner, this shoes just does everything well. While not the greatest at everything, the style is subtle enough to wear around town when cleaned up, or you can hit some serious trails with them. I use them for trail running, backpacking and canyoneering and the do it all well.

Good shoe, Runs small.
Good trail to road transition shoe. Very cushioned which I like with re-occurring plantar faciitis. However, compared to ASICS and Nike it runs at least half size small. Oversize your order to be safe.

Quality - light, tight, springy
This is a really good shoe - probably the best I've had. I started out looking for a decent running shoe, just couldn't find anything appealing. Somehow I stumbled across La Sportiva. Never heard of them before. The reviews were quite good, and a couple mentioned how this particular shoe could just as well be considered a running shoe (as opposed to strictly a hiking shoe). That got my attention. Also, others mentioned how this shoe runs a little small. I went a 1/2 size larger than I normally do, and am quite happy with it.I have never had a sensation of my feet wanting to "spring up" when walking around in them. I kinda felt like those videos where dogs are wearing some type of doggy shoes - they awkwardly lift their legs up, hilarious. Not that this was awkward or uncomfortable in any way. I immediately wanted to move, to run. And when I did it was quite cushioned - firm but soft.I've only had them for a week, so can't speak to their durability. But so far, no doubt the best running AND hiking shoes I've every worn. No more knee and back problems after running. I'd say go a half size up. Definitely worth the cost.

I rully like these shoos.
I have worn this shoe almost daily for over a decade. I am hard on shoes, and these hold up decently well. I have gone through over a dozen pairs, they have all been similarly satisfying.I mostly wear them because they fit me well - they have more space in the ball of the foot than average. The rubber is also great for gripping in both urban and arboreal environments. The mesh top and sides provides ventilation and is light weight, although it will wear through with aggressive toe hooking, if'n you're into that.If you want to know if you like this shoe, try wearing it.

Used not new
Sold as new, delivered as used. Dirt and gravel embedded in the treads. Shoelaces stripped at the tips. In the process of returning. BTW, this model sizes small narrow and needs to be ordered at least once size larger.
