If you look in the photos, they say "installation methods to meet different needs." Images 3 and 4 show "no lip." This is where the shelf will have the lip angled downwards. Obviously a little shelf space is lost, but that is expected.When you look at the images, it looks like you are losing maybe 0.5". It's actually a half a U of rack space. Notice in my photos how the holes don't even line up for a reverse (lip down) configuration. You actually lose the U space underneath where this rack is mounted. Be aware of this if you planned on using the lip down configuration.On the other hand, the metal construction is strong.

I purchased a more expensive shelf from a U.S. company. Those arrived bent and overall simply poor quality. I decided to pay (less) for these as a set of 2. No complaints. They are very strong and although I am using them for audio components, I am confident they'd hold up to much heavier equipment. Strongly recommend em.

I've purchased a lot of shelves, but this is the first one that I had to assemble the rack ears. The task was easy enough, and I am guessing that the reason was to make the shelf as flat as possible for shipping.The shelf is heavy, sturdy and there are no issues. I am pretty sure that it is capable of supporting 25+ pounds, so there is no question about the manufacturing or design quality. I purchased it based mainly on price since I only needed to support a small audio mixer, but the quality is why I am giving it five solid stars.

I bought this because of the options of adjusting the shelves by altering the side pieces with the screws. The quality was very good. No scratches, no bends and a decent weight to each shelf. I do not expect any issues.The only minor disappointment was that the cage nuts and bolts that came with the shelves were silver and not black. I used some that I had left over from my rack to keep everything black.

Originally, I wanted to use a Navepoint Cantilever shelf for my Navepoint 22U networking rack I bought. Just wanted to have brand loyalty for something reliable. Then I thought, I don't need a bent shelf for 21.82$ when I can buy this Jingchengmei budget friendly option. A return and order later, the shelf came in the mail. Packaging was very simple and so were the instructions to install the shelf. All the parts were there too!However, the only complaint I had was the broken mounting bracket that came with the shelf. This was solved by having spare mounting brackets and screws I ordered in addition -- always be prepared, you will thank yourself. Otherwise, the product fits snug into my networking rack and serves its purpose. Thank you Mofangtech!

Ordered the two pack..one was in its own box package, the other in plastic wrap. Later I noticed the plastic wrapped one was obviously a "used" one that evidently had been returned. No big deal..it worked. But I'd normally expect a little DISCOUNT for used goods. These are sold as NEW. Call me Karen....but it's the principal...right??

This is a well-built shelf that straddles a 2 post rack and does so easily. The one caveat is that it doesn't come with screws, so you'll have to dig some up from somewhere else in your network closet to mount it.

I used the rack as a chassis for a custom designed guitar amplifier. The photo shows the amplifier almost completed. The shelf unit itself is well built and fits together nicely. All appropriate hardware was neatly packaged and it even came with a small wrench to attach the sides. The finish is a satin black powder coat on all surfaces (including insides of holes and slots). I bolted a 2U rear panel to it and a high speed drill worked really well to drill through the back lip of the shelf. I will order this item again when needed in the future.

The description for the product didn't mention it was used. It was obviously a used product that was repacked and returned. I needed it right away or I would have returned it. It was scratched and bent where the screws go in and had finger prints and scratches on the product. It it fairly thin and flimsy. I can see why someone returned it. As said, I would return it also but didn't have time to source out another brand and perhaps go through this again. I guess you get what you pay for.

I originally purchased the 8" deep as they were only available in depth of 6" and 8", but they were a bit short for my need. So i decided to contact the seller/manufacturer to see if they could come up with a 10"... That’s where my customer experience reached a climaxed! The respond time were amazing, in 1 hours we could exchange over 10 e-mail, they asked me all the detail and specs that i needed and they came up with this custom built 10" deep according to my specs. They try very hard to ask all the right question and asked me if maybe there were other unit that could suit my need better like a 2U unit and stuff like that. They were so explicit in the details of my need that they understood that the little cheap ratchet that came with the kit was totally unnecessary so they offered to replace the ratchet for an extra set un cage nuts and bolts (now the kit have 2 full sets of cage nuts and bolts), witch all of you that built networking rack knows that extra cage nuts and bolts to build racks are ALWAYS welcome!Id likes to personally give a super thank you to Julie that took amazing care of me. She's the best employee i have ever seen :), I would Hire Julie ANYTIME in my company ;) Ur the best!

This shelf gets the job done, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. It's made from three pieces that you need to bolt together. This isn't a problem on its own, but the fasteners provided are annoying, and the paint chips off the shelf if you tighten them too much.

The product arrived with missing screws to attach the brackets to the tray!Also what it didn’t mention is if you turn the tray upside down (which it said you could), the sides of the tray is now in the way of the equipment below it so effectively if you want to use that configuration, it takes up 1.5U instead of 1U.But the missing screws is the most annoying of all!
