I mean it depends on what paints you use. If you use Valero or d&d paints they fit and work well unfortunately, if you use ciridel paints they won't fit the precut holes but the free paint brushes and study case it's an overall win

It is not a hard shell case but it does have enough firmness to do the job and creates a viable storage for anyone with a lot of Tester'sSquare paint bottles. The only real problem with it is that the paint bottles sit completely inside of the foam inserts with only the lids exposed out. This makes it difficult to tell what colors they are so I simply used in my case, a set of small half inch diameter round white stickers which I put a small amount of the paint on each one so that I can clearly see the color when I open the lid of the case.

This is a decent answer to paint projects you need to move now and again (I work at my kitchen table). I used to have an old shoe box. Put a dab of paint on the lid of your paint bottles help to identify the colors. If I had a complaint, it would simply be that this needs to be bigger. I understand the more it holds, the heavier it will get, but I have a lot of paint as I like to do very scaled and detailed models. I like that this adds some protection to the paint bottles and although I have never had a paint bottle break, this should keep that trend. Thinking of getting another of these cases. Happy with the purchase.

Plucked all the squares and filled it with all my model paints. I made sure the lids are on tight and put them in upside down so I can see the colors quickly. The outer cover is flexible but a good solid shell. This is much better than the plastic bin they were in.
