The pencils are awesome. The sharpener and eraser are redundant. Just buy a set without the extras for a much better peice. But the pencils should be in every artist's case.

These pencils provide a black value much better than graphite with no noticeable reflectivity. In use these pencils feel like charcoal with some kind of binder. They wear well and sharpen to a point without crumbling.

They are great. I am teaching myself to draw

These "black" pencils have enabled me to make my drawings so much better with darker darks without the shine. I am using them almost exclusively for my daily work! I use my long point sharpeners and "Oh, My" Such wonderful darks! I am happy guy!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

But did not come with the sharpener or eraser as pictured.

I enjoyed using these pencils as a change of pace to my regular drawing set

I bought these because all of the YouTube reviews talked about less shine and blacker blacks than standard graphite pencil, and this part was true. What nobody mentioned was that if you need to erase a mistake, they do not erase cleanly, my 50% of what was laid down, very disappointing. Also, these pencils smear almost as easy as charcoal, even when I laid a clean sheet of paper to shield my hand. Returning them and going back to graphite and charcoal.

My husband loves these for art. He has several types and styles and he keeps picking these ones back up. Now for the search for a package of 8b's only.
