Top Notch Service - Top Notch Ice Cooler
I was 3 days into knee surgery before this little charm arrived. What a life saver and comfort maker! We used frozen water bottles inside the chest with water. The timer works well, I think you have to hit it twice to turn it off.On week two when I went to put it on I notice some black grease-like residue on my fingers. My husband investigated and said something must have leaked.I looked online and contact the company distributor through email. Within a very short time I heard back saying they had never heard of this. We sent a photo of the residue and they promptly send us a new cord! Top notch service for a top notch item.Recommend

Perfect Must have for Knee replacement
Just had knee replacement surgery and this has been the best recovery aid ever! I was given a very nice knee wrap at the hospital that I like more than the one that came with my machine but the machine runs all day long when using old plastic water bottles to fill with water and freeze, stand them in the water in the cooler part and they last all day. Best purchase I've made in awhile! no leaks as long as you let hoses curl and lay the way they want to, if you force them to bend too much they will leak a bit. Small price to pay for the relief it gives.

Good size for loading up with ice or frozen water bottles or both! But has some connector issues!
We are switching over to this from a 10 year old Breg Polar Ice Cube we purchased then for $300. The Breg started leaking and there is no way to replace the hose where it hooks into the actual lid. Purchasing a Breg replacement would of been over twice what we had originally paid, plus the Breg was not conducive to filling up with frozen water bottles due to the pump being built into the lid. We thought we would try this Beluga. We’re concerned about the pump being out in the open, but figure it it failed, we would be able to replace it easier. The price was right. It is tall/large enough to hold numerous frozen water bottles which saves on finding enough ice to keep it cold enough. You can combine water bottles and ice to make it last all night. The only downfall are the connectors. I just had knee replacement and an ice machine is a must, but I was used to just leaving the pad on my knee and disconnecting at the hose connectors. These are cheaply made. We just got this yesterday and have already had issues trying to disconnect and connect. My husband had some silicone lube that helps to make it easier, but with how they have it set up the single connectors twirl and twist around and when you go to push them on the o-rings slide out of their slot. There are two hose connections, one closer to unit and another midway and then the pad hooks on. None of connectors are permanently affixed to the connectors we found—like tubing to a fish aquarium. I took the double connectors off of the old Breg and we are going to try and use those to replace the one connection where I would normally disconnect when getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. He is also going to more permanently secure the tubing to the other connectors so they don’t accidentally pop off and make a water mess. For now, taking off the whole pad from my knee seems to work. It also would be nice to have a little bit longer tubing and power cord too. There are some improvements to make to this item, but it does cool nicely after just having knee replacement and with more knee replacements in our future, it will be nice to use it without fearing a leak. I think I will get with the company to try and get knew connectors for closer to the unit too-what we thought was condensation seems to be a small leak at that connection too. Not really into having to fix newly bought stuff that we need right now and can;t afford to return.

Best cold therapy ever.
I got this for upcoming knee surgery, but set it up and tried it out to make sure it was OK, and now I am using it every day for my knee AND an arthritic shoulder- is the perfect amount of cooling and works much better than the reusable gel pads that I have used in the past. I got it because it said Made in USA BUT, the actual pad/hose attachment came in a bag that said it was made in China. And this part looks a little cheesy, I hope it lasts. I used the frozen bottles which was a great idea, I think they would have lasted 24 hrs, but am refreezing after 16. I don't have any if the drip problems mentioned in other reviews, but I AM going to stock up on replacement parts. I am only using the timer each time I use it, am not sure if it is programmable to cycle, but I don't need that function anyway. But all in all, I wish I had bought one of these years ago for icing after lots of activity for my "bad knee" and injuries to my "good knee" .

Buy at your own risk. Be prepared to fix it.
I had a total knee replacement on March 7, 2024, and ordered the Beluga to help me in my recovery. One month later the cord went out and I had to order a replacement. The wire stripped out at the plug, creating a short and shock risk. Then the motor went out and no longer works. The tank is good. The hoses are good. The pump crapped out and I can only buy a replacement by ordering 5 as a sample from Alibaba. I can’t find this pump anywhere else on the web, including Beluga. When it worked, it worked well. Three months of use and I’m having to jury-rig it with a noisy pump from another maker. As a concept, the idea is great. But using crap parts for the key parts makes it a poor choice.

Absolutely necessary for my knee replacement surgery
I couldn't have made it through my knee replacement surgery without my ice machine. I am still in the process of going through physical therapy and rehabilitating my knee and use my ice machine several times a day. It took several tries for Amazon to get me a machine that had all the parts and worked properly but they finally it and it is making such a difference in my rehab. Thank you Amazon for getting me a great machine and the timer on it makes such a difference. It is set to run 30 minutes and then switch off It really helps!
