The Essential Physics of Medical Imaging Fourth, North American Edition

Arrived as expected, no major damages.

Update: After posting this review, the authors and publishers reached out to explain that I received a defective copy from an early run, and that later copies had improved binding. They replaced my copy free-of-charge, and as promised, the new copy has held up some 18 months later. Highly recommend this text, 5/5!----Bushberg is, without question, the de facto standard diagnostic medical physics text in the field. I've used three editions, and each one has been updated with current technology and practices. This edition's treatment of imaging informatics is an excellent addition.My only gripe is that as the text has grown, the number of pages has ballooned, and the binding hasn't kept up! At over 1000 pages, my copy began to fall apart within weeks of use (note that the book has only been out for three months).The addition of the electronic version is welcome!

A good book for teaching residents from. Covers a pretty wide range of topics. The level of detail covered is probably just enough for a radiology residents course, but medical physics students and grad students will probably find it a bit lacking. However, still an essential part of any medical physicist's library.

This is an excellent and thorough text book for Medical Physics Residents, Medical Physicists and Radiologists. Because of its length it should not be read cover to cover by Radiology Residents. The authors will be publishing a Study Guide for Radiology Residents in fall of 2021. This I would recommend for Radiology Residents. I have been teaching Radiology Residents since 1996 and this is the reference text I prepare my lectures from. The figures, diagrams, and tables are exellent summary points.

Excellent text. Useful for a new Med Physics student, as well as the experienced physicists. This edition carries a lot of updated material compared to the previous edition. My first copy came with a bad binding, but I was able to replace it with a new one.
