WiMas R134a Air Conditioning Refrigerant Manifold Gauge Set, Refrigeration Kit, Diagnostic Manifold Gauge Set for Automotive Air Conditioning Systems

The manifold and gauges are brilliant for the price, box is good quality and the couplers are good, tight and secure. The hoses however aren't great.I'm using the gauges to demonstrate faults on machines and the red hose failed at the ferrule at 20bar, they should definitely be able to handle100bar!

Bought this item but not sure of the pipes will stand up to long usage as may detereate rubber pipes start to crack

After changing drier, trinary switch, expansion valve and some pipes, all with new o rings, I first pressure tested system with nitrogen upto 250psi and did soap test on all unions etc. Used gauges for this. No pressure drop observed or bubbles with soap on unions, compressor, condenser.After no leaks found, did a vacuum test with separate pump and these gauges. Went down to -30 which is where moisture in the system will “boil” under vacuum.Closed taps off and pump. And left over night to see if lost vacuum. No loss of vacuum observed in morning so removed taps and went to get system filled. Saved time and money in either labour costs of having system pressure and vacuum tested and obviously paying for air con refill which would have been lost if any leaks were present. Have the confidence that the system is air tight.
