Great hat! Great buy!
This hat just spent more than 400 hours folded & refolded in a suitcase every 2 days. It always looked terrific & still does. It was light on my head but has a good brim that shades the whole face.I never write reviews but this product truly earned its 5 Stars!

Budget style
Great value for a daily wear hat. The natural color is perfect for warmer climates and does not stain as easily as other hats I've owned. Extremely comfortable and it has become my daily wear fir most of the year in the South.

Stylish, but hot and heavy.
This is a well-manufactured hat, but I found it oppressively hot and heavy during a summer trip to Disney World. I say this because I’m comparing it (a $20 hat) to what I usually wear, a $100 tech-straw San Francisco Joe packable fedora. You can buy five of these for the cost of one of those, which I did to save money, and I wished afterwards that I had bought the more expensive hat. Still, in a climate less hot and humid than Florida in the summer, I think this hat would be okay. The hat comes with a detachable chin strap to keep it from blowing off in the wind. The chin strap and hat use clunky metal clasps and an adjustable spring clip, but I cut off the metal clasps and spring adjusted clip, and just sewed the chin strap to the hat itself, eliminating all the clunky metal hardware. The adjuster clip is unnecessary if you’re the only one who wears the hat, since you can achieve the same result with an overhand knot, without the weight of the metal hardware, then it’s easy to just throw the light strap up into the hat so it’s always there. Detachability and adjustability of the chin strap is not an asset if you’re the only wearer. If you don’t want a chin strap, then you just don’t attach it, so there’s no issue. The head size adjuster inside the sweatband of the hat works well. It uses a Velcro adjuster which gives about a 1/2” practical range of adjustment, plenty to get a good fit.I wouldn’t call the hat crush-proof, but mine survived being crushed for eight hours in the overhead compartment of an aircraft, smashed by a piece of luggage. That packability is as much as I wanted. The hat claims to be 90% paper and10% plastic, but it’s comparatively heavy because it’s actually manufactured with a double layer of the material, both in the brim and crown. This may help it retain its shape and give it some additional ruggedness, but that has to be balanced against weight and breathability. I didn’t find this hat particularly breathable, not as compared to an expensive one.Still, you get good value for the money and I recommend it with the limitations described above.

Great hat and it fits well
I was happy to find a hat in Size S as my circumference is 21 3/8. This fits well and feels like it will not blow off. I like that it is on a smaller scale. The very large and wide brimmed hats look like too much on me. It is not super lightweight or floppy, it feels sturdy. I love it! I imagine it would travel well but I've never packed hats lol so I don't know, so that is why I gave 4 stars for travelling. I also had bought another hat by the same company in a size medium as that was all they had and that one was too big. I had no problem at all returning that one.

YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE
I bought this hat in 2018 and still have it (4/2023). Overall, I like it a lot but here are some considerations (noticed some discrepancies on the info between the descriptions here and the label):- Hand Wash Only (after years the hat got stained from being used and perspiration; I also use it all the time in the pool, so obviously it gets wet and loses its shape. Even though the label says DO NOT WASH I made a little experiment. I filled the sink with cold water, added some Woolite, let the hat sink in for about 30 minutes, and rubbed it gently with my hands. I let it dry outside with a plastic hat form, and now my hat looks almost like new.).- Interior Wicking Sweatband (I just noticed this practical feature 5 years later : ) anyway I got an L/XL size because my head is big).- Packs for travel (mmm... definitely no. If you try to fold it or roll it, it will get creased and lose the shape).

Not the Sunday Afternoon quality I'm used to
First of all, I LOVE Sunday Afternoon hats. I have a half dozen of them. But THIS hat - UGH. It's soooo short top to bottom that the top of the hat presses on the top of my head without the sides sitting anywhere near my ears. It's the most uncomfortable and worst shaped hat I've ever tried on. I find the horrid fit odd because it the other review pics it looks plenty deep enough top to bottom. Maybe I just got a mis-made one. Back it goes.
