I did about a week of looking for beach toys before our recent trip to Carlsbad California. My son was excited to visit the beach for the first time and wanted to make sand castles. I opted not to go the Costco route because of the decent reviews on this set. I do have to say the mesh bag was fantastic to help rid the sand and try the toys out before heading back to our hotel but the quality of the toys were lacking. Just as the other reviews stated a few of the toys cracked with just several min of play time. What's interesting is that my 4 year old wasn't the one using them it was me. I was showing him how to make and pack the sand correctly and then I noticed on a crack on the larger buckets. The smaller ones seem to hold up much better but the larger ones need to be more heavy duty. The smaller molds are ok but the sand seems to get stuck in the smaller creatures. Overall the set did its job and entertained my son, just not sure how many trips we will get out of it.Update---I was contacted and a replacement was sent from the seller. It speaks volumes of the company as I did not request a replacement or have any contact with them. Thank you for the quick action and willingness to remedy the situation. I am very happy with my purchase and my son was thrilled to receive a a new bucket. A+ service

For the low price, I was honestly expecting the plastic of the toys to be much thinner and fairly easily breakable, which I was fine with because it was cheap, and I only needed the toys for a beach vacation, and I usually wind up forgetting to bring the toys home anyway. I bought this set in particular because it came with the mesh bag, and it was so handy! It made cleanup and keeping track of the toys an absolute breeze! I could rinse them off in the water and throw them all back into the mesh bag to dry off without having to worry about any mildew or smell. The toys were lightweight enough that my 15 month old carried the bag of toys down to the beach on her own! She the set and so did her older cousins; the dinosaur caused a bit of arguing because all of the kids in my family are obsessed with dinos, and none of their beach toy sets came with one! We played with them for a week, and not a single piece broke. We kept a couple of the pieces out to use for bath time, and the rest are packed away with the rest of our water toys for us to use next year. Definitely worth the price!

Fair price, good quality. Grandkids had a blast digging and building sand castles. These should easily last a few years for use on the beach.

I purchased this beach toy set for my son and nephew to use at the beach during our weekend vacation at Corpus Christi, Texas.First, i noticed right away how thick the bag was that the toys came in. The zipper was very well made and zipped easily. The handles were also very thick and it didn't feel like they were going to come off of the bag. The toys are very well made. They are very sturdy and can withstand me bending them when I tried it.So, did they survive the beach? THEY SURE DID!Not only did they have a blast using the molds and the water container that came with it, but a group of guys next to us asked to borrow some of the shovels so they could bury one of the guys in the sand. I thought they were just going to dig a hold deep enough to lay in. I was wrong! They ended up digging a hole for him to STAND IN! That's right, these shovels survived digging a hole 6 feet deep. I couldn't believe it. As we needed to pack up the day, we dusted off the sand, threw them in the mesh bag that came with it and rinsed them off at the nearby shower before putting them back into the clear bag. We kept it open so it would air out. When we got back to our home, I took them back out of the clear bag to make sure that it had aired out properly. Nothing like gross old moldy plastic if you don't let it air out.

This has been a great purchase. My 2 year old son LOVES all the pieces. The shovel is a must every time he goes to the park, the creatures are a great size and create perfect sand sculptures, watering pail is an adorable extra item and he still hasn’t even used two of the big buckets. So much value for the price!
