Borderlands Triple Pack - PlayStation 3

There are many questions regarding this that I would like to address after my personal review. The review: loved it beyond anything else I have ever bought for ps3. Beat the pre-sequel with a friend withing 4 days of getting the game (already played and beat 1 & 2 on his ps3). Was completely intact on arrival, took 7 days to arrive, directly in between the range of arrival they gave me. To address commonly asked ?'s.The contents: Two discs, Disc 1:contains all three games, look like there are 3 games in the disc slot of the ps3, so they are all launched separately, but are on one disc. Disc 2: Has one icon to select, but once selected has all the dlc/addons/character skins ever added. Just ask: "Does it have ___?" Yes. The unfortunate thing is that they are all separate, so there is no way to just download them all at one, which sucks because the skins aren't all one pack, so you have to download those separate too. All 20+ of them. The upside for people like me (who dont have internet at their residence) is that the latest patches for all three games (as of the release of the discs) are all available to download from the dlc disc. All the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrades are also on the dlc disc, so max level is 20+ from original game. Plus, you get one free golden key in #2, the premiere club, and gearbox guns to start with in #2, which are strong enough to start with, but the assault rifle does 19 damage, so it is useless quickly. Overall, the only excuse you have to not buy this is if you have all 3 with all dlc, if you have 1&2 but not tps, buy it. It's worth it. NO INTERNET REQUIRED!!!**For single player/co-op games, borderlands the pre-sequel does not give a golden key for the golden chest except for using Shift codes, which redemption in-game requires internet connection.And for clarification, I do sound like a fanboy in this review, but i can say before this purchase I honestly hated borderlands games. But the wealth of add-on content made it more than just a "point shoot loot repeat". This saved the series for me, and a bunch of money.P.S. Play as the doppelganger on BL:TPS, it's actually OP and tons of fun.

Hopefully this review will be helpful to anyone like me who have a number of questions about this triple pack before they buy it. Just to reiterate, this is for the PS3 version only (I think the Xbox 360 version is packaged differently). The game comes with 2 disks. The first disk has all 3 games on it. Each game plays directly from the disk, without having to download any of the games onto the hard drive. This was pretty surprising (and neat) that they could cram 3 full games onto just one disk. There are of coarse patches to download for each game but those are the same size as the individually packaged versions of these games. You select which game you want to play on the XMB and from there everything operates the same. All my characters/save files showed up just fine. Anywho, on to disk 2. The only reason I purchased the triple pack was for the DLC content since I already owned the 3 games but had yet to own any DLC. I will definitely say you really do get all the available DLC for the 3 games. Adding all of it up in the Playstation store, it comes to $170. Although I didn't add the 30 character skin/heads to that figure because I wasn't really interested in them. At $1 a piece, that would be another $30, so the total for the disk would actually be $200. The DLC plus the games themselves makes the triple pack an unbelievable deal. Obviously it's for a now "older" system but I have no problem with that. Back to the DLC disk, when you put it in the Playstation, it gives you a very long scroll-down list of every individual DLC item. You then click on them and they download onto the hard drive. This is where my only mild complaint would arise. It would have been nice if there was an option to select multiple items and then have them download all at once. Even a "download all" button would have been appreciated. Downloading one by one was a bit tedious, but you theoretically only have to do all this once, so it wasn't that big of a deal in the end. I believe the total space used for the 3 games and all the DLC is just shy of 20 GB. I haven't had time to replay any of the games so I could try out the DLC stuff, but I don't see why there would be any problems there. It looks like the DLC disk can be reused as many times as you want, so if you know anyone that already has it and you're nice to them, you're good to go (assuming you already own the games). Well that's all the in's and out's I can think of. For anyone who is missing any of the games, the DLC, or both, I would highly recommend going the triple pack route. Side Note: I got it for $30.

The complete set is Awesome

We're very happy with this purchase. The DLC s are on a separate disc, and in order to use them you have to download a patch/ update (included on the disc). My only problem was that the patch fixes a cheat that gives you 10 free keys when you're playing with two characters from the same account (Borderlands 2).Definitely a great deal for $30.

I took a chance on a used one. The disks are fine and work perfectly, but the case had some damage. Still worth it. I'm pretty sure you get everything there is for add-on's and DLC's for all three games. I am a very happy vault hunter!

Everything works with no problems. I waited a few days before writing this review and still no problems. Just amazing job. No scratches, glitches, loading problems. I am very happy with it.
