Industrial grade, could use minor improvement.
This product is very good and sturdy. The first one we had, the bottom where the can sits was warped. After a year and a half of heavy use, the part where the front handle attaches to the mounted piece came apart. There is no screw or bearing, so the metal-on-metal attachment wore out and detached. I fully recommend this above all other manual can crushers, but I would like it to have a better attachment for the handle to rotate (i.e. bolt and washer).

Hide your kids, hide your wife; everyone wants to use this!
I've bought the more popular style can crushers with the two little arms, before. They suck. They warp and become less functional pretty quickly. This can crusher, however, is awesome. I mounted this right above the recycling, in the kitchen. MAN do people love to use it. Every guest that comes over has used it, my kids fight over who gets to crush our cans. I'm happy when I'm able to sneak a can in and crush it. It's gratifying and this unit is made with quality in mind.

Awesome product
It's amazing compared to the piece of junk I had before. Some have complained about cans popping out, but just be sure the can is centered and against the back, and it works great.

Worth every penny!
Excellent can crusher. All metal construction makes this one a lot stronger than 99% of the other ones here on Amazon. Yes this one is a bit more expensive, but this is a great example of you get what you pay for.

Sturdy and effective, but cans don't always stay put.
Sturdy and effective, but cans don't always stay put during crushing. The part of this crusher upon which the base of the can sits really needs some sort of a lip to keep the can in place while it is being crushed. About 1 out of 4 cans will deform in such a way that it is ejected from the crusher (sliding off the base) before being fully crushed. Not only is it annoying, it makes for a sticky mess in the areas surrounding the crusher.
