I purchased this adapter with the hope of never needing to use it. I converted my gray and black water disposal system to true union ball valves and the cam lock connections which are much less likely to leak when compared to poorly designed and manufactured gate valves by another manufacturer that will remain nameless.

This was the set up on our used rv we bought. The set up time is a fraction of the work and time it was with the other way. This is plug and done, no more fussing with twisting off connectors. It is pricey but well worth it and paid for itself the first time with the saved time, saved work, saved trouble, and lack of fustration.

We purchased a new Riverstone Legacy that has a whole different black tank system. My husband did not like this and purchased these to convert back to the system we are used to. They fit like a champ and he is a happy camper!

I had to put industrial adhesive around the threads and let them cure for a few days. Once I did that, they were great. Of course I will never be able to separate the adapter from the threaded part that makes it able to connect to a standard RV sewer line, but then again, I should never have to do that.

I chose to upgrade to the Lippert sewer hose. I hated the hassle of the stupid bayonet connection that often required a screwdriver to pry apart after use. The old bayonet style connections also twisted apart easily when they should not.This Lippert idea, requires no twisting or bending to insert or remove, thus the hose clamps wont let loose or bind.I did however need to be able to use my Smart Tote to empty the tanks at CG's that do not have full hookups.This little adapter is the ticket for that.
