The comb and clip on guides are sturdy and guides clip on securely. Took a while to develop techique in using it but once mastered easy to use. I cut my husband's hair with it and he was pleased with the result. I also cut my own hair using it. The back of my hair was more difficult, but using mirrors, I was able to position comb correctly and my husband did the cutting. Easier to manage an overall evenness when cutting . Perfectly reasonable haircuts achieved. Good variety of lengths in the guides to cater for different styles.Easy

This made it easier then using scissors and comb alone. You still need to be a little careful. It does takea little time to get use to it. The concept is great.

I bought this product because of lockdown and hairdressers/barbers being closed. I watched the videos online and practiced on my own fringe before starting on my husband's, by now, very long hair. He prefaced the haircut with, 'I'm not going anywhere and I can always wear a hat.' When I had finished, he said, 'Oh my God! That's a proper haircut! All that money I've wasted at the barbers'...'I found the tools a little awkward to use but I am sure that I will improve with more practice. I am delighted with the results.I recommend watching the videos as they are much easier to understand than the drawings and the written instructions.

Earlier in lockdown I cut my own hair - quite short and it was a bit uneven but as I have curly hair it didn't show too badly until it started to grow. While I was doing it I wished for something that would allow me to cut it the same length all over. I have now found that thing!This is very clever - you use the normal toothed comb through your hair, twist it up until the long prongs sit on your scalp. Your hair that is in the comb is held however far away from your scalp you want it (depending on which set of prongs you choose). You then trim your hair along the top of the comb. I didn't look at the video - the photos on the short instructions were quite clear.It can be a bit more tricky on one side of your head than the other at first, and I found it was sometimes easier to hold the non-handle end of the thing, but it worked! Even doing the back of my head was fine. Even though I couldn't see it, I was able to move the comb into place as above, then clamp my hair between two fingers either above or below the comb, depending on reach, remove the comb and cut where the comb had been, and know it was the right length.I went for the 2.5 inch guide - that's the longest - and it looks great. I've been asking hairdressers just to cut my hair the same length all over for years and they've never quite believed that was what I wanted. It was a bit fiddly but I reckon I'll get better at it each time. I think if you used it on someone else (do ask permission first!) it would be very very easy.

I was unable to cut my own hair using this and the scissors I sent for at the same time. Doing it with only a mirror to help was so difficult and I couldn't do it. It was to me an expensive mistake.

This is a brilliant invention. My husband can cut my hair easily with this, and the cut is excellent. I also cut his hair and it works to perfection. The cost of the comb set is soon offset by not having to pay out expensive hairdresser prices.

This simple tool can turn anyone into a barber! The instructions are easy to follow. Some items you should purchase with this for best results: 1) Nekmate Neckline Shaving template, 2) Electric shaver, 3) Hair clips, 4) Jeris Hair Tonic, 5) A spray bottle, 6) A rubber pet hair broom, 7) A good hair cutting scissor and comb. In less than 3 haircuts this tool pays for itself. For a haircut, I usually fill up the spray bottle with water and some Jeris Hair Tonic. I then spray my head with this mixture so that it is damp and easy to comb. I use an old sheet with a safety pin to keep hair off my clothing. I then section the crown of my head with the hair clips. Anything below the clips, I cut at 3/4 inch length. Take care to make textured (point) cuts rather than straight cuts with this tool for smoothness. I then remove the hair clips and cut the crown at 2 inch length. The next part is the hardest, where you have to blend the 2 different lengths where they meet. There is a technique to this using the comb pressed against the scalp with no cutting guides to this right, It will take just a little practice and patience to get it right. The rest is just minor clean-up of hair around the ears and using the Nekmate with an electric shaver to clean-up the neck. Clean-up the hair on the floor with the broom. The result is amazing. Quick and professional grade results!

Es muy práctico, yo lo uso para autoxortarme el cabello y todo bien. El plástico es de regular calidad, lo que quizá hace pensar que en de tanto quitar y poner pudiera desgastarse y dejar de servir, sin embargo para cuando eso suceda ya se habrá pagado solo.

I went with the longest length on top, so there was room for mistakes, and 1/2 inch shorter back of the head and sides, the another half inch shorter still for bottom of neck and towards the ears and sideburns. Amazing product. With the blending scissors, which help cut down any chunkiness, it was a close-to-professional cut my first time. Not perfect (yet, LOL), but most people would assume he'd been to the barber.

La desideravo da anni e finalmente l'ho trovata su Amazon e l'ho comprata. Premetto che non andrò più da un parrucchiere e ne farò la tinta per problemi di salute. Mi serviva un qualcosa per avere un taglio diverso dalla solita rasatura in quanto il pettinino più grande arriva a 3 cm. Questa è perfetta, facile da usare e con altri accessori, il taglio sarà perfetto.
