Does not work as a primer
The media could not be loaded. I bought this to make a magnetic in/out sign board for my office. This product did not work AT ALL. even after 4 coats the magnets barely held. And that’s without the top coat. Then the top coat won’t stick smoothly and it dries in rivulets and does not adhere to the primer AT ALL it just chips off to the lightest touch. horrible product and it’s not eligible for return because it’s a chemical.

Very Magnetic. Got a used can though.
The product does work. I sprayed the back of a tin poster so I could magnetically mount it to my wall. Nice strong magnetic grip. The spray tip came clogged. I think the can must have been used or something. I had to soak the tip in paint thinner for a week to get the clog out. Even after getting the clog out it didn't spray very well. The paint came out clumpy and is spurts. I had to get really creative to get the coat to be even.Overall a great value for the price. I would work with it again. Like I said, I think I got a used can.

Seems like a good idea, but the Roll On is better.
This paint was a waste of time and money. I had used the magnetic paint that you roll on and it was a bit of a hassle so I thought I would try this. The nozzle becomes clogged repeatedly making it unsprayable. The paint does not come out in a wide spray making it difficult to get even coverage. Lastly, even very strong magnets will not stick to it. Not a good product. Go for the roll on kind and you will be much happier with your results.

Buyer beware. Does not work.
Used the product as instructed. Complete fail. Will not hold up a magnet, let alone a magnet with a piece of paper under it. Now wondering what to do instead. Did the 3 coats of paint and then a topcoat in a color. Waited the appropriate time. For a product so expensive, relative to other spraypaint, just cannot understand what happened. Boo hoo and grrrrrr.

Not enough magnetic ingredient to hold a single pan eyeshadow
I coated both glass and a plastic frame for a DIY single eyeshadow display and could not even get so much as a magnetic field to register. Unfortunately, it's a $16 bottle of grey spray paint. Not worth it.

Worked for me
I'm really surprised by the negative reviews. Admittedly, I did put on a lot more coats than recommended, using the entire can on a 2x2 area, but it worked really well even after painting over it with a few coats of paint. Regular magnets stick to it nicely, holding light pieces of paper/notes. I tried with a rare earth magnet, and that worked really well, so maybe try those if you're having trouble with other magnets sticking?

The boards that we sprayed it on did not magnetize and we wasted 4 cans of the 6 on them
This did not work. The boards that we sprayed it on did not magnetize and we wasted 4 cans of the 6 on them. The other 2 cans clogged up and would not spray at all. Will not use again.
