ONE AND ONLY FRESHWATER 8OZ

Dr. Tim's along with 80 lbs of bioactive CaribSea African Cichlid Substrate cycled my brand new 75 gallon tank in 24-48 hours. I got zero ammonia and a one day nitrite spike of 0.25ppm and then 0 nitrite (in less than a day the dirty sock smell was gone from the water) and now 5ppm nitrate. Not sure if it is this Dr. Tim's or the live sand or both. All I know is with 9 good sized African cichlids and 5 giant danios in a 75 gallon tank it skipped the ammonia phase and fully cycled in 24-48 hours with healthy fish all the way. This product is over priced in my opinion, but seems to work. I used it in addition to live sand so it is possible the live sand is doing all the work. I suspect they are both playing their part.

This stuff works so good that within 24 hours after adding it to my cycling 75 gallon tank, the 5ppm of ammonia had dropped to 2ppm, the nitrite was at .25ppm, and nitrate was at 5ppm. I still think it takes time for the bacteria to grow enough to handle 5ppm of ammonia so it wont handle the whole bio-load right away if its over 2ppm of ammonia, but this tank sat idle with no numbers besides ammonia for 2 weeks. Dr. Tim is the real deal, this is the ONLY product that actually really kicks a cycle into gear even if not instant, it really does supply the actual forms of this bacteria aquarists need.UPDATE: Tank is cycled, took about 9 days exactly

Ok, so this is literally the only product that has worked for me. All those other cheap bacteria bottles just don't work. As soon as I poured this out, I was satisfied. It was cloudy like it should have been. Then, I had a high nitrate the next day. That proved to me it was working. Unfortunately, 2 days later, My nitrate test read zero. This was because my ammonia source did not arrive on time for the bacteria. Just saying, before you buy this bacteria, get an ammonia source. I cycled my tank in 1 week by ordering a second bottle of this, which is record time, as my last stank to a month. Now my 55-gallon cichlid tank is finally cycled. Buy this first and you won't regret it. :)

For my aquarium

I flooded the tank on 1/16 and added Seachem Stability that day and the following day. I dosed the entire bottle on 1/18 and 2ppm ammonia. I dosed 2ppm ammonia on 1/20. Tested on 1/23 and had 4ppm ammonia and 0.25 nitrite. On 1/25 I still had 2ppm ammonia and 2ppm nitrite. This really doesn't seem to have sped up cycling anymore than just using ammonia. Maybe I just got a dead/expired bottle? This was in a 20 gallon and a 125 gallon tank.Update: my 125 is completely cycled on 2/5... so that is pretty decent. Maybe there is something to this.

I'm doing a fishless cycle on a 150 Gallon Cichlid tank. I bought 2x 8oz of Dr Tims One & Only.After 5 weeks of dosing ammonia to 2-4ppm , and no Nitrite Spike, I thought the cycle stalled on my tank. I purchased two of these, and added them in both at the same time. Withen 2 days I had a Nitrite Spike to between 0.50 -1.00ppm , and it was gone over night. Next night I re-tested, ( note this is close to 6 weeks from start now with water temps at 82 degrees, and I had a 20ppm Nitrate spike. I did a 35% water change, and added10 Cichlids to start about 1-1/2" a pc. A week later I'm writing the review, I've had NO Spike, NO Ammonia, No Nitrite, and been producing NitratesFor me the product was a life saver, as I was looking at a empty tank for 5 weeks. This is the only bacteria in a bottle that truly helped push my new tank cycles along. Helped with a 2 tanks with fish in cycle as well. Ordered more already.

I have a five gallon tank. I was having issues with nitrates and couldn’t it below the safest level. I was getting 30-40 ppm. After a tank cycle I was lucky to get 10-20 ppm. One sign my fish gave was the mid level fish were swimming near the surface. I finally used Dr Tim’s product. Did a tank cycle. Added the liquid and darkened my tank for two days. As per the instructions oh plus I replaced my filter just before I added Dr Tim’s product. I then conducted a two part nitrate test and the results were amazing. 0.00 ppm on both tests! You need to refrigerate the product after you receive the product. Mine was good for 11 months. This product worked for me. Perhaps if you follow the instructions this product will work for you with the same results!
