Used this for the first time in the Boundary Waters NE of Ely, MN where store-bought fresh drinking water is hours away. Wilderness. This system functioned flawlessly. Although the water in those lakes is some of the cleanest in the US, we filtered 4 days worth through this filter. Odorless, colorless, and tasteless. This system works absolutely flawless. Don't look anywhere else. This is what you want. (Can see it hanging from the tree in the left of the picture). Probably ran 10 bags of a gallon and a half each through it. It's almost weightless to carry, water quality is 100%, and it's about as easy to use as they get. Zero flaws.

Easy to use, light weight

Seems to be a very good filter, for my purposes. Make sure to follow the instructions and it as advertised. Takes me about 30 minutes to filter one gallon. A little slower than I thought it would be but if it’s filtering properly that’s okay for my purposes.

Took this packpacking through the cascades, and it was definitely worth it! Once filtered, the water had no decernable taste or odor. Definitely will be part of my kit in the future.

It drives me nuts when these filters are three times as expensive since you are really just paying for the filter. I was apprehensive because I hadn’t heard of this brand and it was so reasonably priced. After 4 days in the backcountry, I was thrilled with how well it did. My only minor quibble is that is would be way easier to have a quick connect between the hose and the filter. Pulling that off and on was a hassle. Other than that, it was flawless.And worth mentioning, the customer service is outstanding! I lost the hose and sent customer service and email to see if they sell replacements. They immediately got back to me and sent one out free of charge. Very happy customer here!

Easy set up. Filters faster than more expensive filters. I’m going to get a protective bag for it. But it was great.

Only used a few times but so far so good. Bag was sturdy to hold the full weight of the water. I also popped it in the sun for a while and used it as a make shift filtered warm water shower. No complains. Loved that you could turn it inside out and dry it before packing it away. Does filter slower after the first couple times but u expected that. Plastic cord had to be tightened all the way to prevent water leakage but also not a major concern.

Overall the filter works well except the flow tube is made of a hard material that “remembers” the crimp from the valve control and results in very slow flow after you’ve used it a few times. I replace the tube with a 1/4” ID 3/8” OD food grade silicon tube similar to the one on the Platypus gravity filter. This filter is a good value but add $7.00 for the replacement tube.

I just got back from a weekend BackCountry trip with me and 4 other friends of mine. We used this filter for ALL of our drinking water for the entire weekend.The fantastic part about this filter is that it can be used as both a personal an group filter. Attaching the straw to the personal water bag provides an on-the-go filtering water bottle; awesome!If you opt to use it as a group filter the set-up is very easy and only takes about a minute.The flow of the filtered water is steady and gave us no issues.There is a slight "chlorine-like" taste to the water, but that's to be expected.Overall, the unit worked fantastic. It's great for a solo filter or a group filter!

The Water filter straw is an excellent product that came with everything as described. It's lightweight, portable, and works flawlessly for filtering water from various sources. I’ve used it while hiking and traveling, and the water always tastes clean and fresh. It’s easy to use, durable, and provides peace of mind knowing you’re drinking safe water. Highly recommend for outdoor adventures or emergency preparedness as I used it whilst being on a camping trip

This is not a 5-stage water filter like advertised but only has a hollow membrane filter thus it only filters 99% of all bacteria instead of the claimed 99.99%, which is a huge difference if you do not want to get sick. On the packaging we received it also only states hollow membrane and only states 99% filtration. This is just a false advertisement and if you take this out on a trail to drink sketchy water it can be a dangerous level of false advertisement.
