IKEA furniture is harder to put together.
I was kind of skeptical at first reading the reviews before I bought this. There were a good amount that seemed to have defective products like hanging hooks coming off and holes not aligning. As I was putting this together I was fully expecting to be disappointed and annoyed for all the reasons I read, fortunately I wasn't.First off the instructions are printed out in very small letters so I didn't even bother reading them. Instead I just used the diagrams as a guide, think IKEA. IT took about 45 minutes to an hour total. this included having to unscrew one part I had accidently put in backwards. So all together pretty simple to put together. As far as the hold not aligning, I didn't run into that problem. There were some points where the bolt would not go in easily but jiggling the bar a little eased the tension and allowed the bolt to go through with no problem. One thing you do want to make sure of is to not tighten everything until you have all the bolts in place. This might have led to some peoples frustration with this since you have to tighten them pretty tightly, it won't allow for any angle correction. The quality of the paint is not the best, it chipped and scratched as I was putting it together but it's a stand for a sand bag, so I really don't care if it has a few scratches. It's pretty sturdy and balanced as long as you have it on level surface. The floor in my garage is a little uneven so I bought a padded mat to put underneath so it levels out.You can put this together solo, though you may want some help with getting the speed bag platform onto the bar, it was only a little awkward. (Will edit later with some pictures)

Fantastic just make sure inspect all of it!
I've had the punching bag for years but never had the frame so finally got the frame. The bag has held up in storage no problem for a long time which I love and the frame wasn't to difficult to put together and I did it myself even though it says it takes two but I was too excited to wait for my husband's help plus he was at work...anyhow, my only dislike is when it arrived the box was pretty beat up and when I opened it some of the hardware screws where not there and it made me really nervous but on further searching taking everything out I was happy I found the rest of them. Then when i inspected each piece to make sure everything was there I noticed a part of the frame where it attached was bent in which I had to take a hammer to it to bend it back out otherwise it wouldn't fit together. All in all I'm happy with it and would recommend everlast to anyone.

Perfect for Home Gym
I really like this stand for my home gym. I assembled it myself in about an hour. ( did need help from husband for the speed bag assembly (that part takes 4 hands) It's sturdy and holds my 80 pound heavy bag nicely. One drawback may be limited movement. I work around the entire bag but can not with this stand. I've simply altered my workout to avoid the weight posts. It's a necessary drawback that I'm easily working around. It does not come with a speed bag. It does come with the speed bag hardware already attached and that works fine but the ball and socket/pivot are plastic. Dear Husband replaced that with a sturdier mechanism.

Defective Design - DO NOT BUY - Explain Below
I do not normally write reviews but I feel it is necessary for this product. DO NOT BUY this product if you intend to hit the boxing bag hard... Yes, you read that right. Do not buy this if you intend to hit the bag. BUT that is the whole point. So Why? Let me explain. The way this product is designed is defective because of the way it hangs the bag from the top of the bar. To hang the boxing bag you take the chain which connects to the boxing bag and you place it around a metal hook which screws in to the bottom of the holding bar. WHY??. The problem is that the metal hook screws in from the bottom so all of the weight of the boxing bag is centered on this one small metal hook. Every time you you punch the boxing bag the hook slowly screws out and begins to deform itself. It also deforms the threads. The bag will fall multiple times. Ultimately it will completely fail, breaking the only way to hang the bag up. The bag fell multiple times and broke by the second session. As for the other issues... Yes the stand is unstable. You can use weights to hold it down but it will always make a lot of noise and feel rickety. I could have lived with that. But I cannot live with being unable to hit the bag. Whats the point. I really don't understand how this could have gotten past the design team. It would have been an easy fix. As a matter of fact you could use the stand and jerry rig it yourself by using a strap around the top bar to hang the boxing bag. But for a stand over 100 dollars I refused to do that. Instead I sent the item back. Very Disappointed.
