Beard Wizards Card Game for 2-5 Players by The Dusty Top Hat

It was a little complicated at first, but we quickly got the hang of it. My 10 yr old son beat me at the game. We had a fun time playing this game.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my fiancé. He loves card and board games and he also has an epic beard. He loved it and played it with his family over the holiday. Even my best friend’s boyfriend was a little jealous of the game. He also has a pretty good length to his facial hair 😅

It’s really easy to learn and fast paced. It’s still really fun, though. My friends and I played three rounds in an hour. All you have to do is use the cards in your hand to grow your wizard beard.

This is a good, humorous, easy to understand game. My 7 year old plays and understand most of it. My 9 year old understands and is starting to use the game mechanics and combinations to her advantage. Both have won with me taking it easy on them and not stacking combination in my favor too much.The only thing I don’t like is when games use two different cards to do the same mechanic. There are two cards in this game that do the exact same thing but are named something different and have different art. It’s a pet peeve I know but I’m allowed to take away 1 star for a pet peeve. Other than that, I like this game and would even consider buying an expansion one day.

My nephew asked for this for christmas. He said it is a fun game!

Really fun, easy to understand, and quick to play. My 8 yo son loves playing!

I bought Beard Wizards thinking it could be fun to play with kids and teens but my husband and I played multiple two person games in a row for a few days before trying it out with our adult friends. I love the artwork on it and I especially love to sabotage people's chances of winning. It's pretty easy to get the hang of the cards and once you've seen them all, you kind of know how to win faster but I would say it is a really fantastic appetizer game for a main course board game like Scythe or 7 Wonders, if you're making an evening of it. Fun for all ages to be certain!

Have you ever played a card game that was poorly balanced and a horrible slog to get through? Well, this isn't like that. In fact, far from it. My kids and I have played many, many rounds of this game and we absolutely love it. It's humorous, well-balanced, and designed for quick play. It has great replay value too because when someone wins, it usually means that someone else was close to winning too, so we always want to play another round. Initially we were stumped as to why some cards were included (like Beard Garden, which allows you to add 2 Golden Beard Hairs to the discard pile) but then we figured out the strategy behind them. The cards are sturdy and everything seems well-made. Overall, we are very satisfied with the game and highly recommend!
