Love the freeform creativity
Our child loves it. we play it over and over. I am looking/thinking of getting additional decks to add to this one. For an impulsive purchase it's one I would do again. If you kid is creative and likes to tell stories, this is a great way for you to engage in that creativity and explore how to continue to grow it from a small seed to a glorious tree providing the fruits of stories.Ok, that sounded corny, I know, but let's face it... kids like to tell stories, this is a great way to give them structure at an early age to help them learn and continue to be creative. Also... great way to pass the time.

My daughter really enjoys these
We use these cards to supplement our homeschool curriculum. My 4 yr old daughter really enjoys making stories with these cards. They are colorful, sturdy, and a good size. Great literacy educational item.

Create A Story Cards make learning fun!
eeBoo’s childrens items are cute and whimsical while being educational at the same time. This item has quality that is better than most things I have found for my child.

ELA tool
We used this with our son age 5-6. It encouraged oral communication, sentence structure, story structure, logic, and imagination. Of all the story decks by eeBoo, we found the Volcano Island deck to be the best - simply because you can come up with A LOT of different story lines given the images (in contrast, the other decks felt far more limited in story line and many cards just did not work well together to make any kind of story). So if you want to buy a story card deck, we strongly recommend you get Volcano Island.Other notes: We started our stories with "Once upon a time, on volcano island...." and ended each story with "The end" - the repetition was helpful to know when stories started or stopped and gave it a story feel. When we first used the deck we started with a fewer number of cards per story (4) and then we slowly worked up to using more card per story as the child got used to the game (8 cards). Especially with some of the other decks where the cards do not flow together as well... we started drawing more cards than needed for a story, then we were allowed to discard 2 that did not fit our story line. (So we would draw 6 and discard 2 or draw 8 and discard 2 or draw 10 and discard 2. ) This discarding was not really needed in the Volcano Island deck though, because we found that we could use all the cards to make a story unlike in other decks.

Great imagination stimulator
Love these cards. I think we've been through them more than 20 times already.

Teaches imagination and creativity
Instead of being read a story it prompts storytelling and imagination for children— such a brilliant and unique way for stimulating a child’s mind— wish they were around for my own kids as I bought them for my grandkids

Great open ended activity for all ages
Bought this to help my reluctant 2nd grade writer. Helps get the imagination going and even if we don't write down the story, it helps practice the idea of making a story flow and having conflicts/solutions/biginning/middle/end.My 3 year old also will look at the cards in the car and helps pass the time while she makes up cute stories for each picture.

Too thin
Ordered it for my toddler. Way too thin for a child. I returned it.
