Good product it would be better if it came with a template for drilling the holes

I did my research before deciding to buy this tour pack. The price was great especially considering what Harley charges for their tour. Install was super easy because the holes were predrilled. I just had to order mounting bracket and I made my own plate. The back rest is very good quality as well as the hinges and locking mechanism. It comes with two keys and the lid lanyard is very sturdy. The lid was thicker than I expected (to my surprise). Also I like the fact that there are no holes for antenna, brake light or speakers as I don't plan on installing those. I do plan on installing the smaller brake light that goes on top of the tour pack.The tour pack came painted black which matched the Vivid Black paint of my bike perfectly. I didn't see any runs or issues with the paint. It also came with a flat felt liner.I'm very happy with this tour pack and highly recommend it to anyone not wanting to pay the insane higher price that Harley charges.

Get when you order, it, would the rack on top. It doesn't come on it. You have to put it on it.And it ain't easy, so just remember when you order it, it doesn't come together

Ultra rare for me to return an item, but in this case there was no other option. Product was badly constructed, as in poor weld job plus, the overall chrome plating was horrible. I know it could happen to anyone, but in this case I'm afraid that "Quality Control" was asleep at the wheel by allowing this item to be sent to a customer. On the plus side, refund process from Amazon was smooth and seamless, with credit being available on my account by the time I return home from ther UPS store. Thanks Amazon !!!!!

It is a lightweight rack, but sturdy enough for what I need. It's stout enough to bungee items to, if needed. I'm fabbing an aluminum plate with this to mount on top to replace the pizza box on my trike. I'm not going cross country on this machine. I'm old and torn up, ridden my whole life, but not dead yet so I want the trike to look good to suit me. It does have the black rubber feet on the 4 mounting posts and rubber grommets for the underside mounting screws. So many parts are so overpriced. This wasn't. Real happy with this one.

first thing to go wrong... mounted onto a Harley detachable kit, took the bike for a ride and got two blocks before the lid came loose and opened..the latch was locked and still came open had to spend another $100 on a quality latch kit..took it out for another ride with the new latch and it stayed closed... got home and found the box cracked from under the lid down to almost the seat..now had to JB weld the inside cracked piece... this happened with nothing in the box and it was aligned properly on the HD mount bracket... the box also came with predrilled holes that are not used for anything that I had to plug with grommets AND it does not have the metal support plate on the base of the box(probably why the damn thing cracked with no weight in it)..It is alson not water tight so anything going in there will need to be put in plastic bags..just junk if you really ride and carry things you value

The paint on the top inside corners was already chipping off. I noticed that after I saw that all of the holes were pre-drilled. Nowhere in the description does it say that the holes are pre-drilled. I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known. I'm OK with the bottom holes being predrilled because I have to mount it anyway. My problem is that they predrilled the front assuming that I was going to put on a large back rest. I ride solo mostly, so I wasn't planning on mounting a back rest. I think it would look stupid with a solo seat. Anyway, I was trying to figure out how to plug up those holes when I discovered the chipped paint. Back to China it goes!
