Superb company and product!
These are perfect! Love how they look in the garden with a wine bottle full of water. Gives me peace of mind if I go away for a few days, just fill bottle with water and no worries!I had an issue with one that broke and I contacted the company. WOW! They responded so quickly!!!! I told them it broke when I put it in the ground, they didn’t ask one question or make me go back and forth or return the broken one, they said they would replace it!Within just a couple days I received a box and when I opened it, there were two new pieces in it! So not only did they replace the one that broke, but they gave me an extra! I have not had a problem with any of the other ones that are in the ground! They are all working great and look so nice! The quality it great too! Maybe the one that broke was just a rare thing or who knows, maybe I pushed it in to hard. I don’t know. But what I do know is the rest are perfect and the company is fantastic with customer support!I highly recommend the product and this company!!! If I could give more than 5 starts I would!!!

Hell yeah. Love the aesthetic, “set it & forget it.”
Awesome product, very fragile. The spikes arrived undamaged. I made the mistake of tapping the back part of the wine bottle to push the spike further deep into the soil. Glass + Terracotta + pressure = shattering. Avoid that mistake. Outside of that, I really love the way it looks! I just got it so I can’t speak to whether or not my plants are being “overwatered” but they seem to be doing just fine after a week. The wine bottle full of water easily lasts 9 days for my fig leaf tree. The smaller corona bottles last about 6 days on my snake plant. Different plants need different amounts of water it seems!

Good value
They work as advertised and fit on wine bottles very well. If you’re using this you should make sure to loosen up soil before pushing in the watering steak because they can’t handle too much pressure. I broke two pushing them into the soil with filled bottles attached. Build quality is good, not great as they feel fragile. No leakage as long as there aren’t any cracks. Overall 4/5 value for the price.

Would HAPPILY buy again
I live in arizona and these are a LIFE SAVER. Silly me, I put my garden on the opposite side of my yard to my hose spigot so most of those drip water systems are out of the question for me. I purchased these and my gosh, my garden is doing AMAZING. I use 2 per 20gal bag. I had to relocate one of my spikes in one of the grow bags and my tomato ended up wrapping all around the spike! A pretty clear indication that the water was being released from every inch of the spike, not just the tip. I’ll probably be buying these again once I get more bags going!

Fragile
I have already broken five out of ten just pushing them into the dirt or dropping the glass bottle down too quickly. They are made of thin terra cotta and break very easily. Use small beer bottles and not wine bottles. The water in the wine bottles doesn’t drain fat enough and turns green.

Life saver (plant saver)
This was my second order. I have them all over the place. I left a bunch in my plants while we were on a 2 week vacation. I even put one by each tomato plant. The large one with a wine bottle has been a life saver. I don't have to baby my large outdoor pots as much. Follow directions: pre dig the hole, soak them and I even felt watering the plant well first kept the bottle from emptying to quickly. It cam packaged very nicely.

great problem solver when you travel.
these are awesome! I tried watering spikes a couple of years ago, but they were ceramic, and they did not work at all. The bottles would empty in a couple of hours, so they were worthless for extending the length of time between watering. Then because of my previous experience with the watering spikes, I was afraid these would be like the ceramic ones. but they aren't at all the same.I know it says to use glass wine bottles, but I don't drink wine or any alcohol, so I don't have glass bottles. But they work wonderfully with plastic bottles. For my really large pots, I use 2 spikes with 2 liter soda bottles, and for smaller pots, I use 1 spike and a liter soda bottle. Each large one feeds off at a guess, maybe 1/2 cup to 1 cup of water per 24 hour period. I don't put my spikes all the way down in the soil, maybe half way, and I suspect that having it deeper in the soil might make them dispense more water per day. So I suggest if you are going on a trip, you get the spikes a few weeks before, and experiment to see what works best for you, as to how many spikes to put per pot or per plant, and how deep to set them into the soil. etc.I'm not sure if all terracotta spikes from different companies are created equal. These days there are so many things that are made with less material, smaller or thinner or whatever, in order to sell them cheaper. And I am sure that some mixtures of material, or thickness, or even size, could effect how well they hold water, and their durability. I definitely want to buy more as I don't have enough for all my pots, but I am definitely buying them from this company, and I recommend only these particular spikes.

Shipping damage
Wanted to update my review. Have been in contact with the company and replacement spikes are on the way! Thank you for the prompt attention to my email.Out of the 16 shipped 3 were broken when we opened the box. They are what was advertised and the remaining 13 will be used in the garden. Other than the broken ones looks like they will do well in the garden.
